So who is gonna be the first one to trim some weight off one of these? Ive never held one, but assuming all the ribs are the same height and size, should be a easy mod.

Second. Or third. If you want a smaller platform just get a smaller one from another company. The beauty of this thing is that it’s a small Treestand for those of us that have been waiting for a platform like that.

TL Mission is perfect for its intended purpose. No more weak side, just stand up and shoot like your in a hang on stand. The extra weight worth it IMO.

Thanks for the replies. Im going to get one when they are back in stock. I can 360 shoot on my diy xop, don't really need a platform bigger than that. The price and rigidity are what draw me to the mission.

There’s definitely no one stopping you from modding it if you really want to. A lot of people like to mod just because. To see what they can do with it. I just think the mission is something a lot of us have been waiting for. So we don’t want to change it lol.

I've actually thought about it but I don't think the weight savings would be worth the loss of real estate. I really like the size when I'm on it.

It's perfect. I have a predator as well. If i am going to a spot I know exactly where i am climbing, i bring the mission. If i will be scouting with my stand and sticks on my back, I bring the predator. Has worked flawlessly for me this year.

The weight is really exaggerated IMO. The width just makes it a little more awkward to pack than something like the Predator or Ridge Runner. The other issue is the hump if you try to carry it with straps. If you're just strapping it to the outside of a pack the weight and size are pretty negligible compared to what you gain with the extra real estate.
