Total system weight

I hunt private land with presets and public land and my system changes with that..

My base system for early season preset is a kite saddle with amsteel bridge 9ft tether and linesman belt both with spliced eyes and ropeman 1's on both, 2 tethrd dump pouches, HSS pull up rope, vortex fury binos which also doubles as my range finder, my kill kit which is a havalon knife some rubber gloves my tags and my license, and a headlamp... I dont need a pack early season everything listed goes on my saddle or and is worn in but total weight for my base system is 6lbs 13.75oz..

Add a pack climbing method and platform choice for run and gun hunts which changes depending on where I am hunting.

I see that pink helium tank in the truck there.... that new climbing method your trying?

Mmm. Likely story. I'm picturing something like this.

Rog. Just PM with the quantities of balloons and helium required. Lol.

I wonder how big the balloon would need to be to float 23lbs!!!!

Yeah I'm thinking a few big ones at least. But then I'd need another bunch that could lift my fat ass.

I'm right at 9.5lbs ready to go without trying too hard, everything except food and water:
-arc tree sling(tether attached)
-13 grade 8 bolts and treehopper mini
-8mm linemans with friction knot
-rangefinder
-binos
-kill kit
-Cheap fieldline pack

Nice. How do you like that sling?

HAvent spent enough time in it to give an overly detailed review, but its like combining a treesuit and an anderson. Its SUPER comfy, packs into itself almost like a fanny pack and the quality is extremely well made. The owners are great guys, and communicated spectacular with me when I bought it a couple months ago. I just wanted to give something different a go since no one else has really played around with one(on the forum I've seen anyway). I"m a little hesitant of the attached tether that is the exact design as the old adnerson sling--it doesn have a bridge persay, so you cant rotate your hips and it's difficult to get the exactl same length tether every time because of tree diameter. BUT, overall I quite like it. I'm giving it a year before I do any mods. I like to use things thoroughly as designed first.

I also have their rope ladder, which is a great concept, probably needing a few tweaks, but the build quality is top notch. I"ll probably use it when I have no idea where I'm going as it sets up and climbs QUICK. IT adds a few more pounds and a little bulk to my pack though.

Around 22lbs counting everything except for weapon, extra clothing, food water. I expect to lose 3lbs when I get my carbon fiber spurs.
saddle- either JX3 or Flex
Climbing method - Klein spurs and tree squeeze
Platform -For JX3 1-WE step and two squirrel steps. With Flex -> Predator Platform and 2 squirrel steps and a backpack
Other items - small pack with range finder, thermocell, Platform stuff mentioned above HME gear hanger.

Weight is within a 1lb between JX3 and Flex setups.

Awesome! I remember hearing them on the old podcast and searching their site. It looks cool. The ladder I thought might be a bit awkward but sounds like maybe not. The nice thing is I won't dinged an abhorrent amount of duty on one.

Teh ladder takes a little getting used too, but its dead quiet and faster than stick in my opinion--like I said, a little bulky but not cumbersome like sticks since you can put it in a pack.

I think you could easily convert the tether to a standard style bridge by just cutting the tether tail off and leving the "y" section" that attaches at each hip.

The other thing about them is there are not Lineman's loops technically, but there are vertical pieces of webbing at each hip that are part of the sling that you can slid a biner through and they work perfect. honestly, less bulky and no way for them to be in the way when not using them!

Be sure to let us now how the season goes.

14 lbs including bow ,arrows and EVERYTHING.
But for some reason, some people don't like my climbing method. But guess what, I don't care, lol.
Check this out.

Now do a video where you're going around a bunch of branches...

This system looks awesome for trees that a climber would work in but for most trees around me it looks like a giant annoyance. Every area is different so I'm sure it's perfect for you but in my situations it's a big enough pain in the a$$ to hook up a tether, move your LB around a branch, unhook tether and continue to climb while just using sticks/stepps, let alone having to unhook and rehook my platform as well. Just my $.02 even though you didn't ask for them lol

My core items weigh 15 lbs 14oz :

Predator Platform
Climbing method strap on steps
Flex
Ropes
Backpack to carry

The rest you might take in with you is subjective based on what each individual takes in the woods.

This is my lightweight pack 1.5 pounds. I haven’t weighed my rig yet with the MR 28 that can carry clothes and a deer out same trip.

Tenzing 4000 backpack, kestrel saddle, 16 pack wildedge stepps and other junk i need runs 32lbs. During winter around 37lbs with extra clothes.

Aight not that it matters but for poops and giggles here it is:
