Traditional from a JX3 is a little challenging.

Dang that sounds like an accident waiting to happen. i might get my wife to start doin this :tearsofjoy: Ohhhhh you mean move the target then leave? i thought she was wheeling it around while you shoot at "it" to practice on a moving target. I'll think of somethin...
I'd be more likely to bring a couple of dollar store Nerf balls and a half-dozen blunts up the tree with me. Especially with trad, seems a perfect application for stumping arrows.

I carry a bag of kids pit balls up with me. Then I would throw them at random location around the tree and try to hit them. Make things a little fun.

I've also done that at the gun range, with a .22 and spent shotshell hulls. Which you can also shoot with blunts or stumping arrows.

@michigandrake good on you for practicing from the tree. Good reminder that I need to up my game. And finish building some arrows.

Put in a half dozen elevated sessions so far and getting to know some of the drawbacks. More movement and some noise if you have to slide the bridge to one side to shoot at close range. I have not been able to get a gradual slide going so I get a little noise when I reach the bridge knot. Shot sequence is still a little awkward but I have been pleasantly surprised with my accuracy of late. My early sessions were not as good. There is a Goldilocks zone between 15-20 yards. I am not very good past 20 and inside 15 the angle gets more difficult. Much more comfortable now and I can see myself hunting with this setup. Maybe not every spot I am going to hunt but a few of them for sure.
