Been a while since I posted here! I got a saddle back in 2016 and have been doing some decent work with it ever since. I'm loving the recurve/saddle combo. Just upgraded from the Aero Evolution to the tethrd mantis and am excited to try it this season. All kills are with a saddle using muddy climbing sticks to get to hunting height. Will be posting here more often!

Hopefully more to come this year!

Haha. Never hunted with a compound so I can't speak to the pins and stabilizers. I've been shooting a recurve since I was 10. Funny story actually - I wanted a compound for my 10th birthday so my dad (not into archery) went to the local bow shop and somehow ended up bringing home a recurve! Needless to say I was stoked and not disappointed at all. Never looked back.

As far as my setup -

Bows:
1) Predator Recurve 60@28, 60"
2) Robertson Fatal Styk 65@28, 62" w a Great Northern quiver

Arrow:
Gold Tip Traditionals 340 spine left at full length (32") w/ 100gr brass insert

Broadhead:
VPA 3 Blade 200gr

Awesome!! I too shot a Robertson recurve, a Vision Falcon 51# shoot 2117 aluminum arrows tipped with either the old 150 grain Magnus or Zwickey Delta glue on broadheads. I also shoot a 45# Samick Sage shooting Gold Tip arrows tipped again with the Magnus or Zwickey heads.

Little PA buck...

Great looking bow and congrats on the deer! Those old Magnus heads are hard to beat. I have a couple of those laying around from a trade

Alaska Bowhunting Sitka shafts with 5" LW feathers (2 white, 1 blue, white nocks) and reflective wraps, shot off the shelf.
150gr single bevel Samurai heads.
Kestrel, Predator, Treehopper drill/bolts.

I was an instant legend in our small town with the group of boys i grew up with when I called a shot. We were walking along the ditch bank and there was a bunch of sparrows and not any rabbits on this day. I told the guys I was going to shoot a sparrow out of the air. On my first shot with my Bear Grizzly I hit the very first bird. All the guys tried to copy the shot never could and I never tired to double down. Lol. I was about 11 or so years old. I still have that bow. Maybe I should dig it out and see if I’m still lucky. Lol
I killed many birds, squirrels, rabbits, a snake or two. Too many frogs and fish to count. Man that brings back memory’s so much fun being a kid growing up outdoors.

YES! That reminds me of my 1st kill...13 years old 1971, 1st day messing around with my dads 48# Kodiak Special. I was so scrawny that I could barely string that bow...shot a running rabbit at 40 yards that day. I thought I was Fred Bear!

Great pics everyone! Here's a few of my trad deer kills - some while using saddle some not - I've also taken turkey and hogs with the trad bow...Pulling these pics together for this thread tells me I need to do better taking good pics of all my kills and keep them in a safe place - a lot of my kills were before the iCloud existed or I had access to it lol....
