Traditional quiver options

A recent thread got me to thinkin about a quiver for my Samick Sage take down. I see it's got accessory holes in the riser. My question would be, should I get a riser mounted quiver or a quiver that attaches to the limbs? I'm thinkin a 3 or 4 arrow quiver. I used to shoot my compound with the quiver on. Now with my new compound I do like to shoot with the quiver off. Is the liteness of a traditional setup more effected by a quiver of arrows, or no? I have been doing all my practice without a quiver. What about that one arrow sleeve that mounts on the front( for stalking I think, but maybe for a quick follow up shot if the quiver is removed). Thanks guys.

keep in mind any quiver attached to the bow will changed the dynamics of how it shoots dramatically. I prefer a non-bow mounted quiver with my trad gear. I have a cat-quiver mini right now that I like. I just hang in onthe tree in front of me, and tie it to my backpack when walking.

A bow mounted quiver will change your tuning. Kwikee Kwivers generally come out quite a bit from the riser increasing the the torque effect. Get a bow quiver that is as close to the riser as possible to minimize torque. Eagles Flight quivers, the basic 2 piece model, don’t have too much of a gap between it and the riser. An added benefit to wrap around limb mounted quivers is they can reduce vibration and limb noise. Just don’t put them on the worKing portion of the limb. Stay close to the riser.

I've got a Great Northern on my Samick Sage and really like it. It has mounts that go under the limb bolts then is quick detachable so I can pull it off once I'm in the tree. I prefer it over a Kwikee Kwiver because the Kwikee Kwiver is so short. The Great Northern has a longer spread between the hood and the grippers making it a much more stable and quieter system, IMHO.

Is it the one with the wire mount?

Are the riser mounts close together or spread out? If they’re spread out, I’d get the Great Northern or an EFA with a totem. The will be far more solid than a quickie mount.
