Tree lounge foot piece climbing platform

@MrPrice, and @BrowninG77 have either of you used this with a Guidos web or JX3 hybrid? Just thinking out loud if your cut down version would fit in the back of one of these when folded up it would make a nice compact system.
Me and @Mr Price have only used modified sit-drags and DIY fleece saddles. We’re also experimenting with ripstop material. Neither of us have dealt with a commercial saddle yet.

Going back to the breakdown/packability of this thing.....

To those of you who use the lounger bottom, would it make sense to put some molle backpack straps on it and use it as a sort of frame pack? Because if a smaller version of this does come to life, I feel like there really won't be a need for it to break down for packability. That would be ideal because less moving parts means less that can fail/make noise. I have yet to get my hands on one yet, but just from looking at pictures, it seems like there is potential to strap your gear to it.

So, I might have missed it earlier in this thread, but I have an old Loggy Bayou Climber somewhere. Would it work for this method. If I remember correctly, it’s pretty similar.

Naw bro. Those over priced saddles just isn't my style bro. DIY, too fit YOUR needs and wants. It's all about getting those hamsters turning in your dome and putting it to the test. Have fun, and God bless ya bro

Yes is similar but you'll have to do some modifications. The LB uses a band to sit on to climb or use your hands to grip it. Little different. You could possibly mount a bar in the place of that strap and be okScreenshot_20191206-112850_Gallery.jpg20180814_103124.jpg

Me and @BrowninG77 was talking about that a couple weeks ago. So it's on the make

Been rolling today and just getting back to the thread...Sometimes i hook mine to my backpack on the top loop with a carabiner and run the ratchet strap thru the backpack shoulder straps and cinch it down to give it the frame pack setup. Works well for me. I want to see that and. Price has a pic of this on this thread or another. I’ll look around for it.

The Loggy climbing aid 'V' bars are at a different angle than the Treelounge. I found them not to give nearly the stability of the Treelounge without modification.

@Mr Price saddled up this evening with the foot climber. Ended up having a couple doe come in late at spitting distance!

Received the tree lounger bottom a day early! Having it in hand is way better than looking at pictures. Haven't climber with it yet hope to try it out tomorrow evening.

Initial thoughts.... Sucker is big, but not really a worry because I believe that @BrowninG77 and @Mr Price have good plans for a smaller version. One thing I don't like is you have machine screws with a wing nut to keep the adjustment bar to the platform. I could easily see myself getting frustrated with that in the woods. Other then that, I like the simple concept. Lot of potential with this one.

It's no big deal. May want to paint them florescent orange

Mine has the original plastic knobs, you could easily replace the wing nuts with some...https://www.amazon.com/Thread-Through-Clamping-Plastic-Machine/dp/B07H55VM3Z

If you could get a pin like the one with the red with an end like the one with the ring that would be perfect

You wouldn't want anything like that. The wing nut style is the best choice. Is lighter, quieter, user friendly and easily to replace.
