Tree Styx

Only person I’ve seen sell some Treestyx is enkriss….

lol…and how many did he buy...lol.

There doesn’t seem to be a very damning record of them in Classifieds, from a quick search:

I’ve got a set of the Gen 1 with built in aiders with the single roll pin holding the step on and and a set of the Gen 2 , no aiders, that has the 2 roll pins, positioned on each side of the step. I used the hell out the Gen 1’s last season, and they’re great. Couldn’t imagine a better stick. But the newer Gen with the 2 roll pins will just make the sticks that more reliable.

I’d like to try a set of the tree styx. They seem to have a solid design, are lightweight, and stack well. But I already own 5 sets of sticks….so I probably should hold off until I sell a set or two.

Read follow up post #5 and #6.

Unfortunately most complaints on gear is usually tied to operator error.

I really want these things, but I keep telling myself that saving 1 pound over 4 sticks (compared to my Tethrd One sticks) and also some other slight advantages, isn't enough to justify it this season. The one thing though is falling on the Tree Styx steps probably won't be as bad as what happened to me 2 years ago. I slipped on an aider and went full force inner thigh to that gnarly hooked One stick step. I had a knot in the muscle for months. I never thought it would go away.

i really like my treestyx, been using three hawks full length and a .5 ..
what a difference in weight. my shoulders hurt after lugging those things a couple miles.
cant get quite as high with the short styx , but il get by just fine using three, (single aider on bottom stick).
plus minimizing all the other crap i drag along in my pack. ( aint gettin any younger or stronger)!

And that is PRECISELY my point with the Latitude SS sticks as well as the Tree Styx in the AT thread I cited...oprator error. But funny how that works, when the tables are turned. When someone is favorably disposed to a product and a bad review comes along, they pass it off as an outlier...the guy is a idiot or a crank. Out of the dozens or hundreds sold, a few are going to end up in the hands of people who don't follow the written directions or online video and then blame it on the product. So when a couple of posts bashing Latitude sticks show up in this discussion, I employ the same logic because I owned them for a couple years and had zero issues....just like hundreds of other satisfied owners. No matter what product or brand, there are going to be fanboys, satisfied customers and naysayers. So much depends upon where your money is invested and your personal experience...plus who you choose to believe.

Latitude sticks broke = Tree Styx squeaked?

Yet you need more affirmation to consider Tree Styx when you had no such hang-ups about Latitude SS sticks. Dud torpedo.

The weight difference from the one sticks is maybe the smallest upgrade.
The treestyx have infinitely more foot room.

Are far more comfortable to stand on without the stupid wing tip on the ones.

The attachment method is tighter.

The sticks are far quieter. They pack in a straight line and aren't staggered.

You support a good guy.

Don't have to rub dirt on em to break em in.

The sexual tyrannosaur of sticks
