TrophyLine, How do I make this thing comfy?!

I have a Trophyline Pro and stopped using the factory webbing bridge, also. I'm using 1" tubing off the linesman loops right now and it is much more comfortable, but am going to build a triad style adjustable bridge when the ropes come in from DanO. I still use the factory bridge to cinch up so it doesn't slip down when I walk in (augments the waist belt which I don't like), and to run a waist level biner when using the modified cain climbing method with WE stepps.
With a knaider on the way with my ropes for adjustable bridge, I don't see any further need for the factory bridge. I'll keep it on for a few hunts after the new setup, but don't expect it will survive the season.

I agree...I was just going with what I have on hand like having my dump pouches handy for the ascend and descend. Thanks for the tip!

Do you notice any comfort issues with the dump pouches being digging/pressed into you from the fleece? I ran fleece saddle and RCH last year then went to TL at the end of the season because I like having the dump pouches and fewer items in backpack.
I'm mostly a leaner but will sit occasionally during longer stays in the tree and fleece was crazy comfortable. I've been happy with the comfort of my TL once I stopped using the factory bridge, but thought if I went back to fleece and TL saddle as safety, I would probably need to ditch the dump pouches.

I really didn’t notice the pouches digging in at all!

This is gold^^^ so much more comfortable. I hooked everything in like normal to my web bridge, git totally set up to hunt, then hooked my lineman belt in as my bridge and holy cow

I agree. I also watched that Average Jack Archery - and it was very good and informative about comfort.
I put on an adjustable rope bridge to my lineman's and played with my tether height and I was able to sit for about 6 hours or so yesterday with little issue. Saw two does and a small buck, but they weren't in recurve range. I am really glad I figured out how to make this thing comfy, because as much as a I love the JX3, sometimes it's just too much to bring in... mainly I like the movement ability of the typical saddle relative to the JX3. Sacrificing a little comfort for movement. If I was sitting all day, which rarely happens, I would prob take the JX3, because that thing is amazing. I wish I could figure out how to put a seat like that seamlessly on the TL saddle... but i don't think that'll happen.

Come to the light, the JX3 tree saddle light..............
Don't be afraid, you will sit from dark to dark very comfortably, be able to snooze when you want, no dreaded hip pinch, no back aches, you can shoot 360° around the tree.
No platform required, only a ROS, no knee pads required, no sore knees, built in pack frame for carrying all your needs.

I have one.

What am I missing?? While I'm not very experienced yet and I only have a limited number of sits, weather on my Mission or Scout platform, I find my Ambush to be more than adequately comfortable. I have been going lower and lower with my tether and I would say that works for me. I like the bridge ,the adjustability, and usually it's all the way out. I don't like the waistbelt, it slips and weighs too much. I think it should have been on one inch webbing with the Cobra buckle.
I don't know if I'll ever try another saddle, but I'm sure it'll have to be like sitting in heaven if I ever do.

It might be different if you're like me and have girthin hips

You bought one worse saddles on market I have trophy line backpack backpack which I really like to be fair. I would sell the trophy line saddle and get a cruzur xc with a amsteel Bridge. Or aero hunter Merlin or areo hunter flex. Cut losses and move forward.

Honestly probably the most interested in a recon sling, might pursue that after season. Will finish out with what i got for now.

I just snagged one from the classifieds and absolutely LOVE the recon! I’m benching the trophyline for now - and possibly selling if I like the Recon the rest of the season.

This guy did a very detailed review on a lot of saddles and ranked cruzur xc the best I agree. Owned areo kestrel flex, phantom and the cruzur xc I agree with him.

I cut off the factory bridge this week. Just too thick and doesn't slide thru the biner worth a hoot. I run an amsteel bridge now but probably going to webbing soon.

Following up, just finished my first all day sit from a saddle (TL). This might be obsolete since they just reveiled their new one, but doggone it ive got $0.02 to give.

Actually, it was great! Felt no hip pinch whatsoever, at any point during the day. The only discomfort was my right index finger, it has this nagging itch. Been nursing that for a while, hope it heals. The 2 mile hike back to the truck was uncomfortable.

For context, i did not use the waste belt or webbed bridge. Used my lineman belt as a rope bridge, and it was quite satisfactory. My tether was forhead height while standing, and there was only 3-5" of rope before my madrock. So the majority of the length was in bridge.

I also found out its much more comfortable to remove your pants belt. Helps not concentrate pressure.

I agree, the TL Ambush Pro is comfortable. I cut off the factory bridge and like it much better. However, since its my only saddle (besides fleece DIY), I wonder if I just don't know what I don't know. I do feel safe in it, though, and at 20ft with 20mph winds, that counts for something. Will probably look at a Cruzr next year.

The older/original TL Ambush was pretty comfortable...actually really comfy. I tried the new one a year or so ago and it was not comfortable at all. Too much hip pinch for me....
