Trophyline knee pads

I tried a set but ended up selling them. They are okay but I like my other knee pads better. My only complaints are, the straps are really short so wearing them in cold weather over bibs is difficult and the narrow vertical plastic pad with the dimples seems to catch on the bark a lot making noise. It's not the dimples that catches it's the edge of the narrow pad that does. I tried the large hard caps the they come with but still ended up going with my old knee pads. I spoke to Trophyline about the short straps and they said they were developing new knee pads and that they would have longer straps. It sounds like they gave up on making a new design and are restocking the original ones.
The dimple part comes off if u dont like. I hadent considered the strap length....no big insulated clothes for me so never considered that....i can see were the non elastic strap could be a little short

I’ve seen guys use a hair tie to extend that strap and attach it to the button

There’s nothing great about them or most knee pads you see trying to specialize. I’ve had 5 knee surgeries total including one full knee replacement last year. I guarantee if anyone is gonna have sensitive knees it’s me. I bought these at Walmart in hardware department last season on clearance for $8. I think there $12 or $15 regular and they work awesome! Silent strap connection soft outer rubber with a cushioned rubber/foam padding, don’t absorb water, have an extended protection that goes over top of knee and comfortable as hell! I’m all for supporting the saddle industry but everyone on here talks about saving money, so you do your best to manage it the best you can. Good luckD559A6A1-06F2-4354-AE2F-5FCD3E998E1A.jpeg

Yeah. But there not camo. I bet I'll get busted by a big ol buck when he spots those things 20' up in the air..... It's not about comfort. It's about how well all your camo pattern matches.... Lol. Sorry. Couldn't help my self. But they do look like a solid option. Might look for a pair as well. Back up to when I loose the other ones like I seem to do with stuff. I think there's a grunt call still lost some where in my truck...

I actually got the same pair last year and was very pleased with them as well. I sponged paint them which made them a tad bit tacky to the touch which help them stick better to the tree. LOL

I’ve had the trophyline knee pads for 10 years, between 75-100 hunts with them, a lot of those hunts 12+ hour days in the tree. They are still in good shape. Never been uncomfortable in them, 100% silent with no metal on them, super light. I couldn’t imagine strapping a pad to a tree when knee pads are so easy, comfortable, and work 360 around the tree. I always wear them walking in and they don’t bother me even on a mile walk.

Just got mine the other day. Glad to hear your solid long term review of them.

They seem well built and well designed. If they are as good as you say and they cost $25 and they last 10+ years, then that’s about as good as a deal gets.

I’m not sure I have any gear that has lasted 5 years.

I bought a set of these. Wish I kept my arcteryx but these will do. I can’t justify spending that kind of money on knee pads again.

It’s so funny, that for years, these were few and far between! All of sudden we find out Sherry Green had boxes upon boxes in storage of new unused knee pads!
