Trophyline mission

Those of you getting tracking numbers which shipping did you select?

I was one of the first to order and paid the extra dollar for the UPS 2 day ground and haven't received any notifications for shipping.

Not a huge deal, just curious and don't want to derail the thread with shipping stuff. Feel free to PM if you'd like.

They only had 3 day for me. I would have next day'd the damn thing if I could.

Why did I check this forum tonight? Just spontaneously cost me $180 to buy/try the mission platform! I hadn’t even seen it until now but I like the look, build and size....just a little concerned about the weight. I already have an out on a limb Ridge Runner, and a Lone Wolf Hand Climber. I need this like a hole in the head. I think I have two complete saddle systems now. Ugh!

Same. I was hoping to get a notification. Boy we are a bunch of kids waiting on Christmas arent we? lol

I did not get sticks; perhaps orders bundled with sticks are taking a bit longer to get out??? I was notified just yesterday that it shipped, so the shipping seems really fast. I guess I am just lucky. . . .

. . . also, just tracked it again . . . they have narrowed the window to 1:15 to 2:15. I have to say, Trophyline seems to have wonderful customer service. I got kneepads from them last fall. Same deal - really fast, very responsive. Thumb's up in my book.

Ok if your anxiously awaiting your mission platform & want to compare order #s & ship dates & when will I get mine that goes
in the vendor section-shipping timelines (already a mission thread) you need to be a member to post there (gonna want to do that anyway for h Th e contest). At the very least you can view & follow along with the joy of watching other members with a platform in their hands while you wonder where yours is in transit...... please keep this thread free of order # tracking

I did get it and gave it a quick try out. I think it’s great. I did a comparison with my assassin. I think it is every bit as good. I think it has a little bit more flex than the assassin; but I like a few things more about the mission over the assassin.

I like that there is some grip for my boots where the assassin is smooth on top. Mission is a bit lighter. The‘step’ on the mission is bigger which I like. The contours in shape allow me to hang an turn in a greater variety of ways. All in all, it is a small improvement over the assassin. Great purchase. I did get the Ambush last year and never got it working for me and sold it. I like my ridge runner. But I think this is going to be my go to. I will still use the assassin and the ridge runner, but this is likely to see a lot of woods time.

here are a few pics next to the assassin.

What didnt you like about the ambush ?

I am a bigger guy - it flexed to much, would always work loose, and I couldn’t get it to stop creaking. Other folks like it; I just couldn’t get it to work for me. I saw it as a downgrade compared to the assassin, which is my favorite. The mission seems like it may be a slight improvement/update on the assassin - so I think I am going to like it a lot as I use it more.

I like what I am hearing, thanks!!!

Got my Mission Platform today. Well made and fit and finish are very good. Put it on the tree tonight and I really love it. I didn't notice any flex and I sideloaded the crap out of it and it didn't move.

I will preface by saying that I have a healthy fear of heights or a healthy fear of falling. LOL. Anyway I feel alot more comfortable when shooting on my week side with this platform. The bigger size makes a difference at least for me. Also very easy to stand upright on and move around a bit. I was going to use a platform on top of my stick for early season, but I think I will carry this. THe few extra pounds is worth it in my opinion at least for me.

Yep, same here. Side pressure is great. Every bit as good as my assassin l, which has been the gold standard to me, and better than all others I have tried. I just came in from a climb and some shooting. Really like the shape and the “tred”; the contours really make footing solid when I move around and shift and try different angles. Very versatile. I like a nice size platform, don’t mind carrying a little weight (this thing is pretty light weight to me). Still very impressed after being up in the tree and doing some shooting.

I like the powder coated post too. I will spray paint it, add some stealth strips or paracord to quiet it. I don’t envision myself wanting to do much else to it.

I haven’t quite figured out I want to pair sticks with it yet. Going to mess with that now. Going to see if I can make it pack nicely with sticks of various makes and models.

I am single stepping this year and it seemed like my mini-beast stick will pack easily on it.

Did you try the backpack straps? I wasn't overly impressed with them so I didn't even bother trying them. I would modify them or get ones with padding if I wanted to use them.

That is good to hear. I have the same fear and was thinking a little bigger platform might ease some of that. Can't wait to get mine in.

I order the mission the the trophyline CAYS backpack today. This is my first year saddle hunting. Thank you to all that have posted your tips and experiences, I have read and learned a lot from you!

Ugh...my wife is going to kill me! If its possible I might try to use this as my one stick like @Redbeard did with the solo scout to help compensate for the weight of it. I wonder if my knaider swaider combo would work instead of an amsteel aider. I dont know, it might be too far off the tree for that.

Might need a couple of those squirrel step s3's to slide on there too haha. I gotta start selling off some of my other gear on here. Im hoarding climbing gear at this point...i could climb/hunt 5 trees at the same time haha
