Trophyline Tree Saddle Review/Q&A

Re: leg loops. Surely a light aluminum one piece buckle would work well to give us an option to use or not.

Great unboxing video! It is definitely lighter and more streamlined while keeping with what made a TL a TL. Hoping to fill a tag tonight in mine!

@Nutterbuster Any idea what sizes they'll be offering? Your's is a "L/XL", is that correct? Makes it seem like either half sizes will be offered or maybe only s/m and l/xl?

Thanks for doing the review @Nutterbuster. Man that saddle looks huge son. The pics before it looked much smaller. It does look like a well built saddle that should last a very long time. Not sure I'm crazy about how big it is or the goofy sagging leg straps. I really hoped they wouldn't bring those back. But just like anything else it can be customized to our individual liking with a little effort. The 2 inch wide bridge looks a little crazy to me too. Gonna have to run a big carabiner to get some smooth bridge action. You probably already posted this but what did the actual weight come out to? How are you liking it?

Personally I think @Nutterbuster needs the smaller size, I am 60 pounds heavier than him and I am wear that size. It looks like he is swimming in that size. The weight is 2 lbs +\- depending on size. The black diamond carabiner that comes with the package allows the webbing to slide pretty easily.

What’s the comfort level?

Can you compare it to modern saddles you have used?

How on tarnation do you buy one when they come out?

It's just as comfy or comfier as my gen 2 kite, which is the most comfortable conventional saddle I've sat in.

I spoke with Trophyline and they're sending me a M/L. Apparently they agree I got a too-big saddle.. When I get it I'll post pics of both sizes and a size 2 kite for reference.

@Page I imagine they'll be available to purchase at trophyline.com once they go live on the 9th.
