Trophyline Venatic Saddle

The bear and turkey are dark and Mother Nature designed them to be on the ground to be hidden or blend. Black hunting products may blend up in a leafy tree early season or an evergreen.

My point is in a leafless tree on a hardwood ridge in late fall black will stand out when looking up from the ground. Black will just contrast and make it easier to pick out against light gray background.

Black in a pattern like ASAT will work. I am referring to solid black objects. Put a black bear in a leafless hardwood tree and you will see them from a mile away while walking thru the woods.

I am sure people have success in leafless trees with black, but I just prefer earth tone colors when up in a tree…… I feel it ups my odds.
My opinion
In central Florida we can spot black bears in the tree even when they are green and full of leaves. While I am incline to agree with you and I love using neutral greens, greys and browns for my saddles, no bigger of an area than the trophyline saddle is covering, I doubt that small of a spacing on an otherwise camouflaged person is gonna draw too much attention 15 or 20 ft in the air even in a tree with no coverings. At least it won’t draw any more attention than a person being up there like a blob on the front side of the tree.

I'd you can kill them in a blue snuggie. You can kill them in a black little saddle. Right @BCHunter

You
That's legal in my state. And actually a great way to keep other hunters away from your spots on public.
You must be from Florida between your hang free post and now your Speedo comment. Lol only Floridians would run through the woods in a speedo

ASAT proves color is immaterial and I agree movement is what alerts game animals. All one has to observe the bobcat and he will blend into his surroundings and is unnoticeable until he moves.

They’re going to make it in ASAT?

ASAT does not prove that at all. There is a lines, color mix, and break-up factor not being considered in that argument. And a bobcat is not solid black.

There was a time in my life when I cared enough about college basketball that I might have abused my mod position and issued you a warning for that but, luckily for you that time has long passed. :)

But really?? Penn State!
Not a Maryland fan, but I was a few years behind Len Bias in college and saw him play at Wake Forest and in the ACC tournament several times. Jordan should have and still should pray daily for his success. There would be no Air Jordan had Len not died.

Guess you never hunted in the shadows huh? The point of the bobcat coloration was totally missed camo has little to do with looking like a cool tree or leaf pattern but breaking up a human outline. If you think you have a great camo pattern hang it on a bush and walk away and check it from a distance- some patterns really blob out. I have used ASAT since it came out from Saskatchewan to Florida and game animals didn't have too much concern about me within a very close proximity- sometimes a matter of a couple of feet. We used to kill deer in the early days wearing plaids. I look out my back window and see plenty of black so the little that would be added to the environment by a black saddle would be negligible.
