I recently saw a post on this mini “quiver” (Trusty Arrow Double Buddy) and decided I “had” to have one! You all know the deal. Anyway, I contacted the owner that makes these via messenger and he was awesome. Sent me one out next day even though he hadn’t released them yet.
I mounted it on my bow yesterday and shot for a little bit. I must say I really like it. It cut down my bow weight, held the arrows in place and tight to my bow. My arrows were also much easier to get out of the quiver with less fiddle factor and noise (I also run the Mathew’s low pro detachable).
I believe the original concept was for target arrows but I’ll be running some broad head sheaths to trying it out in the field deer hunting this season to help lighten my weight. The only major draw back I see in this is the lack of arrows for those pesky squirrels and coyotes that spice up a slow day in the saddle. So this might be more of a scouting/spot and stalk option. I would want a minimum of 3 arrows for sitting in a tree for previously stated reasons. However, my low pro detachable does still mount over the trusty arrow quiver, so it’s a quick swap if desired. I’ll attach pics of it mounted on my V3X 33.
This quiver I believe comes in a 4mm micro, 5mm (standard, that I have), and a large diameter target arrow size. It’s on his website if you are curious.
