So both bows I have paper tuned, both of them the noc point is high so my arrow is not 90 deg off the string/ riser. The paper says it's good coming off. But something just doesn't seem right. I attribute some to my shooting form as I know it's not the best. I could adjust it some by changing my grip some. But don't like the feel of how I have to hold it. Bow is a Bowtechs Reign 6. Dual cam.
Cam time looks good.
I adjusted yoke cables to be centered in the marks on the side of the cams.
Limbs are both turned out few turns. But the same.
I had the same thing on my Diamond black ice I tuned. That was a single cam bow.
Is there something I am missing? Or just go with what the paper tune says?

Not sure if I’m reading your post right - you said your shots through paper look good but since the nock point on the string is higher than the rest (ie. arrow is not parallel to the ground when at full draw), that makes you worried that something is wrong. Is that correct?

If all above is correct, my next question would be how much higher is your nock point than rest? It is common to have your nock point higher than rest as some bows put some downward pressure on the back of the arrow. As long as it’s not crazy high (like under 1/2”) I, personally, wouldn’t worry about it as long as the arrow is coming off the bow good and straight. I prefer bareshaft tuning to confirm this.

"Cam timing looks good..." By looking at the bow while mounted on a draw board I hope?

What do you mean "something doesn't seem right"? How is your arrow flight?

At rest, all of my bows are set nock high roughly 1/8" so arrow is not 90 degrees visually looking at it when nocked.

Are you off your ocd meds?

Arrow flight is good thru paper. My ocd is taking over some. I don't have a draw board. At least not yet. Plan to make one for next season.
So some noc high when un drawn is normal. As long as my paper tune is good. Dial in pins, relax, and drink a beer?

I wouldn’t worry about nock high at rest. But paper tuning, bareshaft tuning, walk-back tuning, etc, etc are all trying to get the best arrow flight you can get so that when you put on a broadhead it flies straight and true and hits with your field points. If you are nock high coming out of the bow then your broadheads will hit lower than your field points.

So a good paper tune is a good start, but not the end goal.

I’d be googling and surfing Archerytalk for “Bowtech nock low” because your level arrow shot is very likely a nock low situation. Adjust cams / cables accordingly.

Walk back tune to 60 then shoot a broadhead, see what happens. May not be worth messing with unless you just like tuning your bow. I feel that tho

Just an up dated. I may have hit the OCD panic button a little premature. I found I was doing something bad with my release which was really changing how my arrows where coming off. I changed how I was anchoring in some, and settled everything down. I was pushing on it I think some which was moving my noc point up some.
