Thought it was a joke when I first saw it, but it’s real.

Just my opinion, but I think Excalibur is going to lose money on this model.
$2200 is a lot of money to lay out for a second shot crossbow. o_O

I think Excalibur is really struggling on the innovation front. I mean how much innovation can you push with a recurve crossbow? Their niche is simplicity, which I think they may want to stick to.

So are they claiming that both bolts will land in the same dot? Or you have to adjust your sight to allow for the 1-2 inch differences?

Ya. I don’t get why they would do this.

I think they would have been better off making there own vertical crossbow.

They probably would but they can't and won't be able to unless Jerry Goff decides to sell the idea. :)

I'll be the contrarian. What is there to hate about a follow up shot? Show of hands who hunts with one arrow or one bullet in a magazine. I habitually immediately start preparing for the follow up shot no matter what weapon or what game I'm shooting. It's definitely saved me some grief over the years.

8lbs is a reasonable weight for a crossbow, and a 2nd shot to me is more of an advantage than going FASTER THIS YEAR THAN EVER BEFORE © for the millionth time. It's also done a great job of attracting attention to a solid brand that has kinda been fading out of mainstream consciousness for the past few years.

The price is high, but the increase in the cost of hunting gear is another story altogether. 2k is an unheard-of, premium price, but it's arguably an unheard-of, premium product. I don't know that it's that far out of line. It may not work, but if I was at the board meeting when it was pitched I can't say I wouldn't go, "let's try it."
