Two bucks!

I was very fortunate this year to harvest two bucks. First picture is my 3 boys with a buck I shot in PA on Election Day morning at 8:00. Walked to my tree to find a black lab chasing deer back and forth. Once the dog left I could hear deer running to the left of my tree and a buck grunting to my right, figured the dog split up a buck with some doe. Hurried and climbed up and minutes later heard a deer coming from behind me to the right. Sure enough it was a buck, grunting and looking for the doe he was split up from. Walked right up to the base of my tree and stood there for five minutes until he got back on the does trail turned and walked slowly to my back left giving me a good quartering away shot. He went 30 yards and fell over. Second buck is from Ohio, shot him on November 9th at 3:00. The temperature that day was 73 degrees. He was walking down a shallow creek edge checking scrapes. Came 10 yards away to my right giving me a week side shot. I was in a very large white oak and couldn’t move clockwise so I swung backwards to execute the shot. He jumped 10 yards looked around and fell over in the creek. This is my second year hunting out of a saddle and it’s been awesome! Big thanks to this site, John Eberhart’s books DVD’s and manufactures finally bringing saddles back to the market.

On the weak side shot, so that I understand, as a rightie (if you are) did you drive your right knee into the tree and then rotate your body counterclockwise on the tether? Where was the deer approximately using a clock's face as a reference?

I am right handed and the buck was at my 3 o’clock. I use a ring of steps so I didn’t have to put my knee on the tree I just side stepped and took the shot.
