Tx5 vs cruzr (s or xc)

Yazoo hunter could you please explain what you meant by the Cruzer XC was to much when expanded
I suspect I know but just wish to be certain as I am strongly considering buying one because I am a large framed big guy at 6'2" 250 -270 lb guy and the larger size of the XC appeals to my gut instinct that saddle that is larger will likely support better and be more comfortable as I prefer to hunt all day usually
But I have no experience with saddles so my instincts could very well be wrong

I'm not a big guy and just didn't like the pleated type of saddle. The stretch panel in the TX5 was more comfortable to me.

DMT I have not tried the cruzr. I do have a TX5 and absolutely love it and have no desire to try a different saddle. Each time in the tree I learn a little more about tether length and positioning. I have to tell you I literally did an all day sit yesterday. 5:30 in the morning until 5:45 at night. I got out around 2:00 to cut a couple shooting lanes for about 30 minutes. Not once did I get hip pinch or any other saddle fatigue. I too am 6'3" and 250. You will not be upset with a TX5. It is custom, so know what you want when you order. He should be able to make the expandable part to your specs. Also, Matt is a great guy.

What tether height and bridge length are you using?

I have the girth hitch set about eye level and my bridge from saddle loop to saddle loop is 24 inches right now.

I'm about the same. I was told I needed to try the girth hitch a little lower, but have been able to try that yet.

I have a Cruzr XC size 3 and I love it very comfortable saddle. I also have a Aero Hunter Flex and I will use it when the weather is cold. I just sold my Kestrel because I like the pleated saddles better. I been at this saddle game a longtime and and the Cruzr XC is one of the most comfortable saddle I ever had. I highly recommend it.

TX5 gets my vote. I have an older one. The new ones are supposed to be much better.

I had a Cruzr XC. A great saddle. Super comfortable and bigger than the Tx5.

I kept the TX5. My only saddle besides the JX3.

I think for me the Cruzr XC was a bit more comfortable but I really like the lower loops on large gear loops on the Tx5 saddle. And it looks cool. When loaded it stays up.

But both are excellent. All long sits are JX3 only for me. Easy on the knees.

There are a lot of great saddles out there and a lot of personal preference due to body types.
