United States Postal Service

One of my packages has reappeared. It was supposed to be delivered to my office on Thursday. Now it’s out for delivery on Saturday. Guess I’ll go open up.

I had a package get lost through UPS about 9 months ago. It showed up around 2 weeks ago. I'd already gotten a refund for the contents and moved on emotionally, now I'm wondering what the hell I'm gonna do with 2 one inch raven buckle belts and a bunch of green nylon and a battle belt.

I think it's regional. Usps is pretty awesome here...ups and FedEx always takes forever with delays...
Definitely. I'll sometimes goes two days without mail delivery. My friend lives in Iowa and he's had to get his congressman involved as the post office has lost I'd wager 75% of his mail in the past year.
UPS is excellent for me.

I'm so ashamed sometimes to work for USPS....I feel your pain...our cities parcel load during the Christmas holiday this year has gone from 3,000 packages per day to over 9,000 per day....mostly due to Amazon, nobody goes to the store any more. We are way past our capacity in every step of the proceedure...."I'm giving her all I got down here captain, but she's ready to blow LOL!"

Sorry we don't mean to pile on. It's just frustrating.

No problem.... I get it ...I can't even take people complaining at the counter because of our incompetence...I took the 12 hour night shift (11:45 pm to 11:45 am) since the beginning of November just sorting parcels for delivery away from customers...I have never hated Christmas so much... starting to hate people too...50 pound bags of dog food during the Christmas rush ...really.... you can't get that from a store!

My whole thing is if I’m paying a certain amount with the expectation of delivery by a specified date, they should live up to that. If it’s a problem charge more or change the dates. I read an article that USPS was $4 billion over budget last year, and projected to be $7 billion over this year. Imagine what Brown could do with an extra $11 billion tax free over 2 years. At the very least we’d be up to our eyeballs in drone delivery I’m sure.

i would disagree. I believe we are same region. USPS has been terrible lately. Delivering mail to the wrong address, not delivering it at all, ( the items in our box to go out sat for 2 straight days mid week non holiday) leaving my mail on top of a package in my driveway on a snowy breezy day. Probably the last 6 months. Go in and complain and get the old blank stare like “who give a shot buddy“.

That's s bummer! My mail lady is awesome!

Our guys was but retired and evidently the three new people they have gone through just don’t get it.

amazon has them bogged down. And many other big box stores advertise the two day shipping now.
Many more are doing that this year and there are more packages to deliver with less time to deliver them.
UPS seems to be the most reliable.

Brown would deliver fewer packages and probably take longer. USPS is stretched thin, understaffed, overloaded, etc. - but the reason they are over budget is more related to the high levels of service they provide on non-package service. Daily delivery of letters etc. In 1-3 days for 55 cents? Good luck getting anything close to that from Brown...

Hopefully we can just agree to disagree.

This might cheer you up. LOL

I am currently tracking 4 packages through USPS 1 has not yet been accepted, the other 3 are late by at least a day and have not been updated in 2 days. SMH. They really should be out of business by now.

my USPS driver threw a Christmas package over my fence when I told him not to and my dogs ate all the presents. Thx a pant load USPS.

From what I can tell, usps and UPS both deliver about 6-7 billion packages a year, with revenue of 70 billion or so. For that same budget, the USPS also delivers almost 60 billion letters and 80 billion pieces of junk/marketing mail.

The cheapest i get in ups rate calculator for deliveribg across town is about 10 bucks. I can go anywhere in the us for 55 cents for a letter, up to 8 bucks or so for a flat-rate box.

I'm not sure what you'd expect from brown, other than reduced service levels and higher prices.

I’m not trying to debate the benefits of private sector vs government sector on a SH.com My complaint was just that they suck at delivering on time, and their system of tracking doesn’t work more than it does, in my experience.
