Update- Beast Steps on Novix Minis Successful

Update-
Cut Up the Step.
Tools needed-
Hacksaw
File
Vise

Took all but 2 minutes per step.

The stand-offs don’t fit over the bottom portion of the beast doublestep if that makes sense. I just checked.

Perhaps if you kept the doublestep up an inch at the bottom you could stack them over.

This may be your best bet. Do the mod where you can rotate the standoffs on the novix’s and then stagger them stacked sideways.

Sorry I only have one beast doublestep with my novix sticks but that’s the most efficient way I can think to pack them.

Side stacking would be even better,
just can’t visualize the step part if they impede the stack.

I can also drill holes on the other side of tubes and lose an inch or 2 for stacking

Another thing to keep in mind that might save you some money is to wait a bit. In this podcast I thought I saw TL say they were coming out with doublestep sticks. I was just breezing through and saw some pictures. Pretty sure he said the cost would be 220 for 4 sticks.

Update...

Out of box stick 1.4 lbs No Strap

Just did the same thing. Couldn't wait for the impending Novix double steps (I loathe this time of year waiting for teased releases).

I only replaced the top steps. That way I can use a single versa aider with these, and always have 2 feet level for setting next stick/stand.

Easy hack saw and file job like you said. Thanks for the tip. Amazingly light steps. I weighed an original and one with the double step and the sticks were identical.

Looks great. I think I decided on using the anodized double step from EWO and leave the single step with an aider at the bottom
