I started using the Wensel Woodsman years ago and I have had good luck with them.
Now they are called Woodsman since 3 Rivers brought out Gene Wensel. I never noticed a issue with noise.
Yeas ago we wanted to compare the noise of plastic vanes to feathers. My friend shot a compound and was using feathers and he was considering going to vanes.
We set up the target and listener as shown. With the building blocking the sound from the bow, the listener can only hear the arrow in flight and the sound of the arrow hitting the target. We found that feather made noise in flight were vanes we almost completely quite. You may want to try this out with broadheads. View attachment 49702
