Video editing software suggestions

I've been playing with a couple of GoPros and a tactacam mounted to my bows because I want to see if I can get a kill shot on video this year. I have taken videos of 20 and 30 yard shots at my targets and would like an editing software that will allow me to playback one frame at a time. I'm currently using the media player on my computer and it doesn't allow me to vary the playback speed. These videos are for my personal use only so I don't need professional software, just something easy to use. And I know my cameras are not really suited for what I'm using them for but they're the only ones I'm willing to carry.

Can someone recommend a simple video editing program?

For apple I use wunder share live ut but when i get my new setup im getting filmcut pro.

Have you checked out GoPro’s editing software quik?

Here is a video I found helpful that reviews a bunch of options, presenting them in price order starting at free.

Just a note.... the frame by frame is really affected by the quality of camera and data settings on it. Frame by frame might look like VHS quality or worse.

Any update for this thread. Looking for windows based software.

My apple just took a poop and my lap top which is a dell with windows 11 is super minimalist for hardware.
its s as complete turd for what i need
Its just awful lol
I downloaded davinci and wunder share.
on apple i love wundershare but its different on my windows os.
no screen record no web cam and its alot different tham thr old filmora program it once was.
davinci is st least for me very involved snd is a bit overwhelming to operate. Especially after i used filmora for so long.
I am not sure but I hear film cut pro is really good but it is used on apple only.
i will be searching hard and would also like software which includes screen recording snd webcam capability’s
Ill keep looking and would be thankful for anyone who has sny more info or suggestions

How do you like that bow mounted Tacticam? Does it capture arrow flight and impact pretty well?
The stabilizer mount is perfect as it doesn't upset the balance of the bow and using it guarantees that the camera will be pointing in the right direction for every shot.
I can't see arrow flight at all regardless of which mode I record with. I'm sure it does but I need to find a media player/editing software that allows me to playback frame by frame. I've been bogged down between work and family obligations so I haven't yet tried any that were recommended here but I will and keep you posted.

It's been a while since I've used it - probably a generation or two - but the Windows Video Editor did what I wanted it to do, and I could advance frame-by-frame. Not on mobile, though, you'd want a real computer for that.
