Waders for deer season

So the waders showed up today.

Good. They shipped the day after I ordered. They came with a coozie, a baggie, and a decal. The kevlar knee pads are super nice and I think they'll hold up well. The camo looks good. The boot fits excellent and true-to-size with some wool socks on. Very lightweight and comfortable to wear and walk in.

Meh. Don't love the shoulder straps or the waist belt. It's just regular ole 2" webbing, and the belt only attaches at one point in the back. Kinda cheapish, but very pragmatic I guess. I can take or leave the pocket on the front, but I feel that way about every pair of chest waders really.

Bad. Don't fit. Technically kinda my fault. The sizing chart says I fall between an 11 tall and an 11 regular. At 6ft I didn't consider myself tall, so I disregarded the "order a size up" advice on the site and ordered regular. 2" in the inseam would be mighty nice. If I sit or lift my leg high, they bind at the knee.

Very good. Talked to the guy on the phone and he was super-cool and said he'd send the talls right out as soon as I sent him a label for the regulars.

Really wish I could hunt in them tomorrow instead of my leak ole neoprenes, but I'd rather get them sized perfect than settle.
