Hey all I'm new to the whole saddle thing. I just purchased my hawk helium climbing sticks for my lock on stand. I really wanna try saddle hunting but was hoping for some help with some of the items not necessarily asking for handouts but hurricane Michael really worked its hardest on us here in marianna Florida. Most of our trees got destroyed and I think saddle hunting would give me so much more opportunity for a successful sit.

I don't have any extra kit (don't even have my own full kit yet - haha), but it would probably be helpful for folks to know whether you're open to using a fleece saddle/sit-drag with a rock climbing harness (RCH), since folks are much more willing to part with those (or could coach you up on how to make your own for less than $100).

I just gave away a DIY Platform. Might look through the pay it forward forum though.
 
Looks like all I need now is a platform or some ring of steps and a linemens belt and tether

Did you give the Lineman's belt and Tether Strap that came with the Trophyline Saddle a try? I wasn't a fan of the lineman's belt personally but that heavy duty adjustable tether strap I really liked.
Let me know if you need any help hooking it all up. I had to get someone on here to explain it to me myself.
