He makes sense. I think I'm gonna wax mine this way from now on.
No need to replace the string when you replace the bow every year.Well, If I ever waxed my strings I would have been doing it the wrong way.![]()
@GCTerpfan This....THIS should of been your response. You totally missed your chance to flex.No need to replace the string when you replace the bow every year.![]()
Funny that you mention making strings. I make my own as well and I always pre-wax the string bundles before twisting and do it just as he recommends, going one direction. But once it is built and on the bow, back and forth with enough tension to get the fingers real hot. Will have to remember to rub from the center serving to the tips going forward.Been doing it wrong forever.
Good thing I make my own strings.
That what I was taught too but reverse. Go from tip to serving.Funny that you mention making strings. I pre-wax the bundles from the center out so after the string is built, sounds like I should wax from the center to the tips to stay in the same direction. Or I may just keep doing it the way I always have and just build a new string as needed. That what I was taught too but reverse. Go from tip to serving.
