Wearing a belt and a saddle

So I am very green to the saddle hunting I only sat in my brand new saddle one time so far. I am a guy that likes to wear a belt and I’ve noticed that I get more hip pressure when wearing my belt in the saddle. It also seems to be less comfortable with a belt and saddle.
Are you guys wearing belts and saddles?
How about suspenders?
Any recommendations?

After climbing up, before you connect to your tether, slid your saddle down below your belt line. That helps a bunch. also adjusting where your bridge connects to your bridge helps some to with cupping more or less for sitting/leaning.

I bought a thin webbing belt that I use when hunting. I barley notice it under my saddle, but I also slide my saddle below my belt line before I put weight in it.

When I was getting my setup down I wore pants and a belt. Very similar experience. My hunting gear is all bibs with suspenders so no belt ..... much more comfortable.

I wear a 1.5" leather belt with no issues. I second pushing the saddle down below your belt line though. The only time I have had problems was in a pair of pants that I have that have waist adjustments built in. The saddle binds on the plastic part. I just don't wear those pants to saddle hunt anymore.

I wear a 2" nylon webbing belt from my scuba diving days with a plastic buckle. It is pretty thin so no pressure.

I wear a belt from Bullhide.com that is 1.5" wide and very thick and stiff. However I also wear first lite obsidian pants with the suspenders. The belt is there for me...dont really need it. Just habit I guess...however the suspenders help greatly. I also have suspenders on my Flex that help tremendously from letting my saddle fall down to my knees.

The belt I have is a thick tactical belt . I’m sure that’s half the problem. I like the idea of just a 1” strap

Regardless of your setup, and if your a leaner or a sitter. Your saddle should be lower then your belt, that said everyone's body type is different, slide your bridge towards the lower half of your bridge loops, if you have micro adjusters, loosen them, move your saddle around to find the sweet spot. I dont know how versed you are in the saddle, so just be aware of your surroundings and what your moving and adjusting, and I dont recommend trying to figure it out while your hunting! Good luck happy hanging!

I made me a low profile belt out of 1 inch and webbing and a tethrd T hook. That belt with suspenders works like a champ!

Old thread but I have had the same problem... and I have the unfortunate happenstance to have a flat rear end (nothing to slow down the saddle as it falls haha)... I did find a relatively easy solution though... I have used a few 3" molle straps with a snap.. I thread the strap through the saddle webbing and then around my pants belt. It keeps the saddle right under my belt line and doesn't fall down any more!

Wearing a belt over a belt is a no go for me. I started out wearing a belt but it caused discomfort so last year I went to suspenders. Much better!! It makes it easier to adjust the saddle to be more comfortable.

I did the same thing. Much less noticeable and also, I use a battlebelt to hold all the weight of my dump pouches instead directly on my saddle.

I wear a belt all the time. When walking in the waistband of the saddle goes above the belt. At the base of the tree I drop the waistband to below my belt. I find this to be the most comfortable for me. When my belt falls under the saddle waistband it gets quite uncomfortable quickly.
