What bow is everyone shooting this year?

I ordered one of these Feb 1 from the custom shop (gray riser, kuiu verde limbs) and got all the accessories already. It's going to take at least 4 more weeks to get. Feels like forever.

I got one “used” from the classifieds on AT (basically brand new, never even had a sight or peep installed). Saved $300 and received it less than a week later

Mathews FX that I bought new in 1998 or 99, I am almost traditional with that bow lol, I have no reason to switch I just plain kill with that thing.

I still have my Matthews Legacy that I bought new in 2003 that I still use from time to time. Great bow shot my best bow buck ever with it. I put new strings and cables on it last year. Don't know if I can ever get rid of it.

Four years ago, I had a problem with the rest on my Switchback XT mid-season and went to my backup, a Legacy ‘02. Took a nice buck with it and only went back to the Switchback this past season. During that span, I took 3 of my top 4 bucks with a bow using the Legacy.

I prefer how smooth the Switchback is, but the Legacy ’02 hasn’t let me down. Only reason I bought a Switchback was I couldn’t locate a matching rig when I could afford a backup.

Hard to believe the Switchback is a teenager now. Its a great bow too, and what I’ll be shooting until I need to dust off the Legacy.

I upgraded from a 15 year old PSE Stinger to a 10+ year old Darton pro3000 from AT this off-season. Ha! My first time setting up a bow from scratch - new strings just went on, d-loop etc. to follow. Looking forward to tuning in the basement until the snow melts.

Darton is great stuff!!!

If all goes to plan.

The RealmX will be down graded to backup bow and the V3 I ordered the first week of December will be primary... if it ever gets here. Haven’t waited this long for something I ordered since my mantis.

I have never upgraded from my first compound. It was a demo from the local shop. He said Mathews told him he had to sell it for what he paid. So I got my Switchback XT in the summer of 08 for $260. Of course it was over double by the time I got it setup. I just love the simplicity of it. Less is more in my eyes. Single limbs being the best thing about it. It's quite and no shock as the arrow is released. At 315 fps it's plenty fast enough with my 480g arrow setup. Still have the original qad rest on it. I put new strings and stabilizer on it a few years ago. New cam string stops this year. Not sure how many deer I've taken with it. Well over 20 does and a few bucks.
