What broadheads are you shooting this year?

I’m trying the annihilator and wasp havalon broadheads this year. I may even try a grim reaper mechanical. I never use mechanicals but I have heard a lot of good things on these heads.
So I was wondering what is everyone else shooting this year and why?
Do you stick with the same ones every year or do you like to tinker and change things up?
Does anyone have any experience with the annihilators or wasp havalons?

I don't have any experience with the annihilators or wasp havalons, but will be interesting to hear how they preform for you. I've basically stuck with the same heads for the past 7 years, VPA 3 blades, but "may" try a couple different mechanicals, (Afflicators and Servs) on a small suburban plot I hunt.

Really digging the 125 grain 4 blade 1” cut tooth of the arrow heads! Fly right with my field points out to 50! Solid one pice ferrule machined from a block of steel. These things are awesome and are going to go to work this fall

I would be interested in hearing how you like the annihilated as well. Looking at those as well as the kudos. Also thinking of going with higher foc

I thought about trying the vpa 3 blade solids. How have they performed for you? Do you get good blood trails?

I will post kill results on the heads. I wasn’t able to find very much info on how they performed in the field so I figured I would share my results. Oct 15 just needs to hurry up!

How are you liking those fletching? I’ve been wanting to try them. I’ve heard they are great!

I am trying a single bevel samurai 125gr this year. No reports yet. Last year i used montecs g5 and had not great bloodtrails, but both shots were not double lung but liver and lung and guts. Before that i used muzzys.

lol...I love them as I created Zinger Fletches.... We are surely staying busy with production as it’s picking up daily. Can’t wait to see what gets put down with them this year!

Same here with the samurai's. Last year I used the G5 deadmeats and they did OK, but I wanted to get away from the mechanicals to a single bevel. The only thing I don't like about the samurai's is that to me, they whistle. My wife and daughter don't hear it but I do...

Oh lol! Well glad to see you use your own products! I will definitely be giving them a try! I’ve had blazers for over a year now and I’ve been wanting them to get torn up so I can switch. I can’t justify it as long as they are still on and working good though lol. What happens when you get a pass through with the zinger? Does it pop off like a fob?

Gonna be hard to not shoot my exodus, but I’m givin the VAP 3 blades a shot. Hopefully I can have couple kills to compare

200 grain single bevel Samurai.
I've shot the last few deer with the 150 grain version.
I decided to go UEFOC arrow so I upped the total weight of my arrow.
I've never had the urge to shoot mechanicals and after following Ashby, and the Ranch Ferry and their input on mechanical heads, I feel comfortable that I will never shoot one.

100 grain Iron Will wides and 100 grain Iron Will vented. Will have the wides nocked on the bow, but will have a vented or 2 in the quiver just in case a longer shot presents it self. For Elk/Western hunting I would have the vented on the bow, but for whitetails it'll be the wides. They fly great and I can resharpen. I've been super pleased with these broad heads and i foresee many years of use out of them. Buy once cry once, buy twice cry twice, buy never cry never. Whatever floats your boat lol.
