What did you buy today?

Batteries for my trail cameras from Amazon, and more Oplux and TRC from EWO for a tether

Twins! Thanks @kyler1945.

Finally got a backup for the one piece of equipment I wouldn't easily be able to replace during a bow season. The need for this really hit home for me a couple of years ago when a buddy of mine came back to Michigan to bow hunt from North Carolina where he now resides and on his second day back he tripped over a hidden stump in a clear cut and landed on his bow breaking the top limb. No backup. To top it off he's left handed so none of us even had a bow we could loan him. Losing the use of bow in mid-season would be catastrophic for me. Hopefully I can set this up so its an almost transparent duplicate.

Score!! Went to my local Walmart and found this for 9.00 a box.

They normally run 16.97 a box. Bought three and as they rang up the price said 4.50 a box.

Did a double take and asked the cashier if that was the correct price. She said yes as they are now on clearance. Bought a total of ten boxes. Will go next payday and get ten more...if they still have them.

Wow. That’s a good buy. Not so great for your shoulder though.

Wasn't today, but a couple days ago... bought a new setup for the season. Bowtech RPM 360 to replace my old Bear Element.
You're gonna love it! Been hunting with mine for 4 or 5 years now, and I've seen no reason to "upgrade." If you enjoy fine-tuning your archery equipment, this is definitely a bow you'll enjoy.

Just bought a bunch of Sitka Gear that was on sale on CamoFire. Doubt I keep more than a couple pieces, but wanted to jump on the low prices and choose what I like the best.

Yea the last time I found a bunch for sale last me like 8 years. I think it was 35-40 rounds. That’s also with making sure the gun was still on target every year before season. This lot will keep me hunting for the next 15+ years with my set up.

In the Marines I was with a FAST Team that shot the 12 gauge slugs and buckshot 100 rounds a day for 30 days. Some serious training with shotguns. It was so bad that my shoulder was black and blue for 3 months after my 30 days of training was over. I don’t even feel the shotgun when it fires...moss berg 695 and it’s very solid. Shooting 2 rounds for zero and maybe one round at a deer or three...I will be able to take the recoil. Not like when I was 18 though...51 now so we will see. Might have to buy a slug barrel for my wife’s 20 gauge and more of those rounds for 4.50 a box.

It's been great so far. It was a brand new model that never sold, so I was able to get it at a good price. It's a whole lot faster than the other bow, and it's taking some getting used to because the cam designs are more aggresive than I'm used to, but it shoots great!

They had 20 gauge for 4.50 a BOX? They are most 20 gauge slugs I’ve found are near 4.50 a piece. Sold my 20 gauge encore barrel for that reason and the fact I like my muzzle loader barrel more.

Yes...I believe so. I felt like I was robbing walmart...even had my mask on. I don't have a 20 guage slug gun and did not check...but they were listed as 9.00 a box just like the 12 guage rounds were. These slugs are what my mossberg 695 loves to eat. I can hit a soda can at 100 yards and the rounds are within an inch of each other. While maybe not "minute" of angle...still quite accurate for a slug gun. I'm comfortable with my 695 out to 150 yards easily. My muzzleloader, TC omega, with precision bullets, that's a different story...250-300 yards all day.

My Winchester Ranger loved the Lightfields as well. Going to try some rifles slugs this fall. Most of my hunting spots are 75 yards of less which was another reason I felt the sabots were not needed. Anything farther than that and I’m rifle hunting on private or using the powder gun on public.
