What did you buy today?

Bought some new toys so that I can start experimenting with making my own stuff.

The wife asked me to build some privacy screens for the deck. Sure I says. Didn't realize she wanted all four of them done at the same time. 91 degrees and four hours later my sweaty dad bod self was ready to pass out and stupid tennis elbow arm was screaming like a banshee.

All the material to make a viper hood ghillie. I am approaching this endeavor with caution and low expectations so we'll see how it goes.

Nice, but one suggestion...ditch the camo arrows. Finding the arrow after the shot can make the difference between recovering a deer or not knowing if you even hit it, or where you hit it. Gut shots are a good example. Smelling the arrow (if you can find it) can prove if you hit guts or not. Camo arrows are really hard to find in the woods.
Some day, when I'm in charge of the world, I'm gonna make camo arrows illegal.

These are the arrows for my old bow. I kept them around to cut them down for my kids to shoot. These are now relegated to practice arrows only. But I agree- I had a heck of a time finding one of them a couple years ago- luckily I had brighter fletchings so I found it. The new arrows are not camo'd.
