What did you do today?

Scouting yesterday I found one of the best rubs I've found in years. Cedar tree was TORN UP! On the way out I believe I ran into him to be honest. Single deer and I could see it had a big rack but it was just too thick for a clear view. Will be scouting what I believe is his bedding area Monday and if I find what I hope I'll be making my first sit in that area in two weeks. I was in that area looking for some well used doe trails but it quickly turned into a different scouting mission

I added an Ultimaider to my Frankenstick with the EWO Light Platform up top and the Ultimate Lower Step on the bottom. The stick was an old
Muddy pro. It’s a tank but is solid as heck and I can get up past 7 feet on my first climb. That Ultimaider is pretty slick. I also added rope wraps to both of my sticks and fixed the pull cord on my EWO ultimate one stick and added a pack in play to it.

My shoulder has been bothering me for the last couple of months so I zeroed the crossbow and shot some from an elevated position. Never heard of saddle hunting with a crossbow but Im going to give it a go until my shoulder heals. I had forgotten how easy it is to get tight groups at 40yds with that thing. Almost like... cheating. hahaha
 
My son busted his butt mowing and doing yard work all summer for my parents, so he could save up and buy himself a computer. so proud of him for making a plan, working hard to accomplish it, saving all his money, and then executing his plan to buy one. It came in the mail today, so i got it all set up for him
 
It was a crappy day.

It started with something i saw that reminded me of my dog we had to put down 2 weeks ago today. That was a very unfortunate situation, and it bothers me the way it happened.

Then I head to work and my Subaru died on the side of the highway, it's gonna cost like 250 to get towed back to town and that's before they even look at it. I'm fairly confident it bit the dust for good, so I'm gonna have to find another vehicle most likely.

Then I was at my sister's house and my 3yr old cousin fed a fruit snack to his infant brother, so I had to heimlich him until the paramedics arrived. It only took maybe 3-4 minutes but by the time they got there, he either swallowed or spit the fruit snack, so he was fine. Still stressful af.

Just a **** day from beginning to end. I need a beer

That is a sh!t sandwich of a day, you've earned the beer and then some. Way to keep your head when it mattered though, a lot of people can't do that. Glad your cousin is alright, hopefully you get good news about the car.

That is a crappy day brother! But I’d like to think the Good Lord put you at your sisters to help your cousin. I pray things will get better for you. Just think, bow season is upon us!!! That’s a blessing for sure!

Bless you man! I struggle in situations like that. I tend to panic to be honest. No way I could work in a hospital.
 
Bought a new bow that I didn’t need. Which led me to buy a new rest that I didn’t need before the bow. Which then led me to buy a new sight that I didn’t need. Now I just gotta buy new arrows that I didn’t need.
