What did you do today?

I moved several tons of river rock and another pile of cultured stone scrap for fill along my driveway. Those 2 piles have been laying there for many years just waiting for me to find a use for them.
Which begs the question...
How come when you have a pile of stone that YOU WANT, it slowly sinks into the ground to be claimed by mother Earth? The stuff disappears.
But, on the other hand, stones, rocks, and boulders mysteriously come to the surface in all my food plots?? Of which, I will surely find with my mower.
One of life's mysteries.
So true ,i have some rockpiles and other extra materials and they do sink. And other single rocks just come up out of the ground. Puzzling. Reading your post made me laugh pretty hard, thanks.

The trick is to not pile them up

Not today I’m a few days behind, but started my affiliation as a staff member for a saddle company
Hope you all are well and stocked up on disinfectant supplies.
Stay safe my fellow tree dwelling brethren

I guess I should’ve mentioned the company name sorry about that

Moving forward I will be affiliated with AeroHunter

I hope you are all catching up on your proactive from whatever saddle, tree stand, blind, back deck, roof, or balcony you prefer. Seems like we got a few more weeks to peak. Stay positive. And distance yourselves. Most of us will make it thru this to share hunt stories and videos this fall. Yes, we will lose some along the way as we know some of us already have, but we are all in this together
Praying for us all as a whole

Bought materials for chicken coop. Then removed monkey bars that kids dont use. Tried to fell a tree that was leaning towards some others; unsuccessfully. Bent bar of chain saw. Bought new bigger saw. Cut tree up. Tommorow move wood and start on coop.

Farmers know that rocks in crop fields procreate and give birth to new rocks every year. The rock picking cycle never ends

We would visit my grandfathers hunting camp which was farm land in Monterey New York every summer and he would make us friggin pick rocks out of small fields! I hated that crap.

Nice, you get a badge now too and we won’t have to listen to you tell everyone how much you love aerohunter. Just kidding. Congrats! Are you Prostaff or something else?

Yep. But right now I'm trying to look at the bright side.
All those rocks that I've been piling up for the last few decades are now needed in other places for other applications. They were "free" (except for the sweat equity) and I'm glad I have them.
So, right now I'm gonna go back outside and move more rocks. A front end loader is one of the greatest inventions!

We will get you in close proximity, the rest is up to you.

I know you will buddy
It’s weird thinking of hunting public when I’ve worked my way up to managing the private properties I have access to the last few years

I have a celt that was found in just such a field in Alabama. Know someone who found a cache of clay balls. You never know what some of those “rocks” could turn out to be. Got a few arrowheads but none of those came from fields.

Today I ruined one of my hawk helium sticks trying to drill 15/64" holes straight without a drill press! Not one of my best decisions. Anyone have an extra stick??

I’ve been thinking about you. My next door neighbor is a pilot for Delta. Stay safe, brother.

Thanks, man!
Crazy times. Luckily my airline is in better financial shape than most. Still hoping it doesn’t come down to furloughs though... I may not have the seniority to avoid being affected.

Technically it’s your wife harassing the government birds, because you didn’t get drawn to hunt at the reservoir. It’s fun harassing Gov’t birds. I can always help harass those private Birds as well
