What did you do today?

Well, its 5:30AM here. Been awake for 30 min or so. Fixed my coffee and sat down and read my Bible.
Brothers and sisters I beg you, Please get into God's word and study. The day and times that we are living in, its important to have His word implanted in our hearts. This country don't need a covid cure. It needs to repent and call on Jesus. Be the light that Jesus wants us to be. He gave His ALL, now let's give our ALL in return.

Dropped a few pounds and a few inches today.

I'm really interested in the recurve. Let me know how it works for ya if you can! I'll even drill a couple holes in my OOAL solo scout and mount it to a stick to give you a review on that, ha!

What is this tomfoolery. And how do I get one.

He sells them on his site for $350. 270 fps. he claimed maxed out. They're lighter than the mini too and doesn't look like too much wider compared side to side.

To be clear, the recurve in the picture is an Excalibur Axiom SMF. I just got a Hickory Creek Mini.

I just looked at the HC recurve and it looks pretty sweet. Didn’t know he sold a recurve version.

Gotcha! I didn't look hard enough and got all giddy.

I sold some stocks, I changed some tension parts on my Singer 281 and sewed a few box-Xs with V69 thread on some webbing. It works better with the new tension parts. It is trickier backstitching with no reverse. Went out and ran a quarter mile to get back into shape.

Swam another creek. This one had a gator in it. Almost stepped on a water moccasin. Found 3 deer that I don't think knew what in tarnation I was. Found lots of wood ducks. Ate 2 home-growed mater sammiches with lots of mayo. About to get a 3rd and polish off my 2nd beer of the evening.

Went and looked at a little river house. We loved the location but the house ended up having a major structural issue.

See you in a tree, Ricky

Put in a culvert and cleaned out part of the stream that runs through my property. Deer flies and mosquitoes were relentless and have to bath in Deet(my new cologne)before going out!

Define tarnation for me will ya?:grinning:

Left one of our cars in Amarillo where it broke down. That’s only 350 miles from home... engine is toast, so it is off to look for a replacement tomorrow.

Wasn’t planning on spending all the money we had right now, but I guess it’s gotta happen.

I can relate to that. I had an appointment at the mechanics yesterday and before that I had to look for a new fridge since ours conked out the night before.
I had a rattle coming from the rear of the truck and hoped it was just a loose emergency brake cable. Boy was I wrong.
The shock is broke in half and the shock mount broke of the frame. Between that and the rest of the list of things needing to get fixed it is time to put the truck out to pasture.
My trusty 2003 toyota tundra is done. Vehicles in NY take a beating from the salt on the roads and me living on a dirt road does not help.
I hate buying vehicles and I think truck prices are insane.
I guess I will have to drop at least $15000 to get a somewhat decent used one. The problem always is that a 8 to 10 year old truck that lived in upstate NY is full of rust.
Any of you southern fellas have a decent one for sale?
