What did you do today?

Spent some time today rigging up a moveable aider . With this set up and 2 sticks I can get up to about 16 feet. I haven't measured with 3 sticks but I'm sure I will be well over 20 feet. I'm still playing with different aider ideas but I'm liking it. I have definitely gleaned some knowledge from spending time in this forum.

Practiced setting up my full saddle hunting setup for the first time. 15 minutes to about 16 ft. set with everything hanging, ready to hunt. Went smoother than I had anticipated. Have been practicing climbing with my sticks and shooting from the saddle at 1 stick height all summer, but this was my first “full” dry run. Now I need to get some late evening climbs in to get familiar in low/no light conditions.

I'm cured. Thats the last rabbit in this lifetime.
I have eaten three day old Chinese that take better than this guy.

Big storm was coming in and my brothers truck lost the break booster.
We got it to the highway and it got towed.
We had to make a couple trips to get off the mountain before the roads got greasy.
We are stuck here waiting on ups to bring a booster.
Camped in the snow.
All rooms booked in town.

Good thing we all love adventure!Screenshot_20200908-121941_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20200908-120731_Gallery.jpg

we got four good days if you dont count messing with the truck and then the switch got flipped.

Ran 1/4 mile. Sewed a cushion cover for my wife's friend. Sewed it with my new Singer 201. Made some slide stops for the zipper that had no stops at each end. I pulled the slide off both ends when I thought there were metal stops. . It is a PITA trying to get the slide back on. Laid out in the sun in @Blinginpse style to get my daily Vitamin-D.

So we came to hunt and we ran into a game warden.
He told us of an area to check out with good road.
Well we spent half the day helping this mississippi individual to get his truck back on the road.
Didn't get no hunting in but we help when we can and hope help comes when you need some!

Just know when you come out west, it can be the time of your life or an adventure you won't forget!
Either way you have to go.
I have gone alone several times.
Never any regrets.
You only live once!

Ps. I'm sitting in a bar right now complements of my mississippi friend who will go unnamed getting warm and establishing some blood flow!
Be well.
