What did you do today?

So when are u gonna tell her u need to use it 3 or 4 months outta the year for hunt trips?
Nah, she pays the bills. I'm just glad to not have to unpack and repack that little cargo van in the background floor to ceiling with bins of clothes every time we have a market. Trailer let's us leave them hanging and roll the racks out.

Gonna be a huge quality of life improvement.

Last time I came up missing stuff was a few years ago. Now you have to understand I have about 9 totes of hunting gear piled against the wall of the basement. This spring it took me going through three totes to find a pair of heavy socks for turkey season this year (clothes, extra clothes, inclement weather gear).

The particular conversation I'm referring to was the night before turkey season a few years ago and went something like this:

Me: Where do you put my boots and camo bibs this winter?
Wife: I didn't touch your boot or bibs.
Me: I'm sure I left them just outside the door in the garage. You had to have moved them somewhere.
Wife: They must be down on your hunting gear somewhere, I didn't touch 'em.
Me: I looked there, they aren't where they belong, you must have moved them somewhere.
Wife: I don't touch your hunting gear . . . you know that.

After another hour of fruitless searching and semi-under my breath complaining (cleaned up for Redsquirrel) I suddenly remember that I had left them behind the truck after getting undressed in a sudden rainstorm during rifle season the fall before. I had even gone back to look for them at that time but someone had already benefited from my gift. . . . . I hate having to admit I was wrong to the wife . . . .:tearsofjoy:.

I’m only at 3 totes. Sounds like I need to buy more stuff!

I wanted to figure out a way to hang my Tight Spot three arrow quiver once up in the tree. I drilled two 5/32 holes and ran orange bungee cord through the holes. Then a square knot inside the hood. Now it goes around the quiver when not in use. When I’m ready, I just pop it off and boom, it’s hanging.

Put a new whisker biscuit on my bow this week so I rigged up a simple paper tuning setup and got her dialed in.

Wasn’t nearly as difficult as I thought it would be!

It did. Going into he woods. Now everything’s in the basement. I should open a sporting goods store. That’s the problem with discounts when your wife works at a outdoor store

Went and recovered my new boat, got it towed to the house without incendent!

Love the covered bow on those old boats. A drop down canvas cover would give some dry storage. Being you have the covered bow frame, a canvas spray skirt would make her a dry rider as well.

I know next to nothing about motor boats. I just know this one was free, and I can't pass up a deal. Not to mention it looks cool as hell and will let me access more spots.

Nice, make sure you get lead additive for those older motors.
Interesting! I know next to nothing about small motors. Also never worked on anything with a carburetor. Should be interesting to figure out.
