What did you do today?

Picked up these fellas today. Love it when rich folks sell slightly used stuff for an outrageous discount.

You son of a gun, I've been looking for a deal like that. I've been debating on pulling the trigger on several new targets to finish my 3d course but, I'm afraid of what my wife will buy in retaliation. :)

Did they have anymore?

Was gone for 3 days due to work. Got home expecting a quiet, lazy night but ended up chasing the squirrels away, picked about 4 cups of raspberries and made close to a quart of raspberry jam.

I guess I can't complain too much.

Edit: Would've got a full quart if the tree rats hadn't taken their share.

Habitat work. Pulling down grape vines off of crabs, hawthorn, dogwood, etc. Stinking grape vines will smother and kill everything. Deer love it when I put the grape leaves down to browsing reach.
Also killing Mile-a-Minute. Evil invasive right there. Gotta keep it from making berries (seed).
Shook several pear trees too. We have a boat-load of pears this year. So many pears that the tree branches will break from the weight of the fruit in a couple months. Pears are now rock hard and about the size of golf balls but the deer still eat them when I put them on the ground or they can stand on their back legs and reach up into the tree.
Yesterday beat the crap out of me...I'm hurting today, but it's a good pain.

Yeah so wally keeps different things in stock for different areas.....more rural stores have hunting clothes/guns/ammo etc....the store I was in sells pretty much zero hunting stuff but there is a rock climbing selection?.....I thought the same...w t f? I didn't know there was a community of rock climbers in my town enough to justify keeping that kinda stuff in stock. They had packs of the colorful hand hold "rocks", hand chalk, biners, harness.... So strange

My local Walmart has also started carrying some rock climbing equipment. That was before they rearranged their store again for like the second time in a year. They completely got rid of their gun display. The hunting selection has also gotten smaller over the years. Fishing stuff is okay but picked over most of the time. I try to avoid the place when possible. Or I at least try to just get in and out. Rural King usually has me covered for guns, ammo, fishing, clothes etc.

Well the General consensus is that he is at least part Tennessee treeing cur. My wife's grandfather just passed yesterday and her mom is not feeling up for taking care of such an athletic dog. Guess I have a dog now. Any tips?
