What did you do today?

Bought this baby and assembled it. Have about 20+ giant trees to cut up and get the wood split. Then I’ll sell it and hopefully only be out a little money.

Make up for any loss with firewood I sell.

Tried out SRT for the first time. No mechanicals - distel on top connected to the saddle + schwabisch with my modified swaider for foot leverage. These are the same knots I use for my tether and rappelling. It wasn't quick, but I wanted a method for large diameter trees because they were difficult to 1-stick last year.
Was happy with the results so far, but need a bit more practice on larger trees.

I wish I was a headlight on a north-bound train

I power washed a play ground at a school for Autistic Kids today. The play ground has been closed all summer because of cleanliness issues. I will finish tomorrow so kids can start enjoying this coming week. This is a year round school and with all the rain and heat it will be the first time they can use since May.

Well done!!!

Sent the application for my second antlerless permit. I'm a little late as I watch the website counter count down the remaining licenses. I think there are enough remaining for me to get one. Three days ago, there were 42,000 remaining as of now 34,815.

Got my order from Simmons. 175gr Swampsharks and field points. Got them popping hair off my forearm with a few swipes on the Rada wheelie. Wimped out last season with the "adult" arrow. Going to tinker with them and hopefully put one through a deer or two this season. They should be like 550 grains finished. Hard to get real heavy with a 26" draw length.

Compounded the paint on my truck and waxed it, sorry no Pic.

Bought some early season pants to replace my clapped out old work khakis I used all last year. Bought some basic fishing tackle and convinced my wife that we should both take up fishing so we can have more reasons to be outside together.

Worked on training my pup.

Man your on a roll!!!

Stopped by to see Uncle Lou, the Sultan of Stealth, one of my favorite people to spend time with. I wanted to quiet the Kydex holster I got for my bino harness, to take some of the hollow ping sound out of it. As always Lou was super helpful in getting it set up and quiet.

To me Stealth-Strip is like Frank's Red Hot Sauce: I put that $&%@ on everything.

I like that holster. Is that just a standard kydex rig with stealth on it? Do they make light bearing holsters? I’m do for an update for my dance partners.
