What did you do today?

Started really working on the stuff my wife needs done before next deer season. Building a screen porch currently.

I pretended to be a Paw Patrol pup, Flik from Bugs Life, a prince of some sorts from a princess show, a horse, a grasshopper from Bugs Life, Flik again, Woody, Buzz, Lightning McQueen, and just said goodnight as to my 4 yo daughter who said back to me ‘goodnight Flik,’ so another one for Flik. I think I got to poop and look at this forum once too...

Nice! Thanks for doing that..... hey do you know if the OOAL Scout platforms for these EWO Utlimate One Stick's specially made for this stick or is this EWO stick the same width as the Shikars?

Also, I can't tell from the angle. Is that the Flat Shikar or the angled? How do you like this stick and the aider? Is it a two step or three?

This one fits a 1" square tube. I don't know about it fitting Shikars stick but for some reason I think they make one for it. Check their site.

Well I took one for the freezer.
Passed on a couple little guys.
After my injury I was just glad to get out.
What I really want to mention one last time is my climbing belt. I have mentioned it on this thread previously.
There are two belts actually and they work.
I mainly ran the notch sliding D this winter and it works very well.
I did have to add the second bridge for wieght distribution(I knew this before I bought it watching the notch demo video)but I have to say that you will not beat this one for one stiking in my opinion.
The belt looks big and heavy but its not. I wear it in on long walks. Granted you won't roll this into a ball and put it into your back pocket.

I am not a minimalist and have a system that I prefer to a saddle. I am a leaner. For less than $50 I have a rig arguably quite a bit stronger than your average saddle.

As this site is about saddles and shedding carry wieght, I won't mention these belts any further.
I have mine and it works for me.

Shoot straight!

Nothing wrong with mentioning what works for you, as long as you're safe. To me this site is more about that, the sharing of ideas. While some guys goals are shedding ounces, others goals may be comfort while yet others may be cost consciousness. We all fall in that mix somewhere.

Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Cool man!! Good for you. I picked up a Notch Floating D a few weeks ago and so far I really like it. I haven't hunted out of it yet but sat in it about 12 or so feet up in my backyard for about 45 minutes. I one sticked up and it seemed to work great. Can you expand on why you added the second bridge? Also, what Notch video are you referring to? Thanks!!

I wanted more support into the hip belt and the way the notch is designed (for sitting)I felt like I would need a back band to help me stay up.
By adding the cord as I did thru the slot in the D, it gave me that support and reduced the amount of "sit" in the swing band.
I went thru the slit in the D so it wouldn't interfere with the main webbing.
I also wrapped the D with paracord because I didn't have spray bedliner to coat it with and wouldn't of sprayed it until the off season anyway.
There was metal to metal noise while one stiking from the carabiner.

I'm leaving the paracord on at this point.

Forgot to mention that I cut the leg straps off too.

I cut them off my trophyline too.

Its true about sharing ideas and I see where the post may come across in an unintended way.

With no real interest expressed in the belts I felt out of place to mention them.
Especially with all the great diy saddles out there. My hats off to all you guys.

Thanks for this. Don't know if you caught it but there was a whole thread about these awesome Notch 2 Panel Saddels, I bought the "Floating D" and many others have as well if you didn't see it here's a link to the thread FYI: https://saddlehunter.com/community/index.php?threads/for-those-2-panel-ers.34702/
