What did you do today?

I swapped out my climbing stick carry method to bungee cord which keeps the tighter to my body and they don’t swing around as much as normal 550 cord or whatever.

We did have a winch though, just a rope. If you know what those are, you are older than the average bear. Ha! Ha!
U don't have to be old to know....just have to been around the block a couple times....
Down here before air conditioning if u were wealthy u had a giant attic fan installed that would lower from the attic at an angle down into the living space. They would suck wa.air out and exhaust into the attic. The fans were big....like 5-6 foot diameter of the blades. U should see the counterbalance they used to raise and lower those things....they pretty big.

Good idea, I’m gonna try the same thing real soon.

Replaced the driver side radius arm bushing on my "new" truck. Who knew having a truck you actually like was so much daggum work? All in all, though, a good day. Got to use my hands to do something worth doing.

Well not yesterday. But recently. After dozens of cart builds....the UP platform finally sealed the deal. Ordered the ultimate one stick with the U. Last week I may have got an order in with TX-5.... this might be the worst and most exciting time of this whole deal to date. Certainly the most expensive month of my hunting life so far. Hahahaha

Got kidney punched by a lawn for the last time. Just ordered $200 suspension platform for my mower.

Today was enough. Hahaha

I have two 5 gallon buckets full of these window weights, make great mink trap anchors. Usually I haul them in but don't haul them back out. Pick them up and lodge them in a couple of tree roots for next year.

Intentionally randomly loosened the bolts on my qad rest, EZV sight, and LTR roller with the intention of practicing getting everything back into alignment and paper tuning, took me longer than I wished, and a few regrets and curses were verbalized, but I got it

Went for a walk into a part of the woods I didnt get back to last year to scout. Found some sign and really good trails that I'm sure arent human (picture is of the trail in, not wildlife trail). found a tiny little deer tick crawling on my hand

Went "scouting" with my cousin and his kids. Cuz is interested in taking up bow hunting because his eldest is showing an interest. Both kids were really into looking for tracks and inspecting bugs and plants. Saw some deer running off through the swamp. It was a good day.
