We did have a winch though, just a rope. If you know what those are, you are older than the average bear. Ha! Ha!
Good idea, I’m gonna try the same thing real soon.I swapped out my climbing stick carry method to bungee cord which keeps the tighter to my body and they don’t swing around as much as normal 550 cord or whatever.
Window weights , we have removed tons of them when upgrading clients windows .Good move. When I was a teenager cat fishing on the bayou we used these

I ordered ten feet of 1/8 diameter bungee from amazon and had plenty left over for whatever else may come up one day.Good idea, I’m gonna try the same thing real soon.
I see caster/camber bushings in ur futureReplaced the driver side radius arm bushing on my "new" truck. Who knew having a truck you actually like was so much daggum work? All in all, though, a good day. Got to use my hands to do something worth doing.

I have two 5 gallon buckets full of these window weights, make great mink trap anchors. Usually I haul them in but don't haul them back out. Pick them up and lodge them in a couple of tree roots for next year.Good move. When I was a teenager cat fishing on the bayou we used these
