We are on the short rows now ladies and gentlemen. The 2021 season is almost here, are you ready? What does your system look like thus far? I am sure things will change during the season but what does your system look like at the start of the season? I will start: Opening day I'll be wearing a Trophyline Ambush Pro with a standard lineman's belt and an Oplux tether. My climbing method is hawk helium's cut down to 20in with 18in Amsteel single aiders. My platform is homemade. Bow of choice is a 2011 Mathews Z7 Extreme with carbon express arrows and 100 grain magnus broadheads, (haven't jumped on the heavy arrow train yet). Camo is of course Mossy Oak Original Bottomland. Things that will most likely change throughout the season are the saddle, ascending and descending the tree. Looking at getting an Overwatch Transformer along with 40ft of canyon civ. For the ascending I'll still be using the hawks and then repelling down using a figure 8. I'm working on and testing a new one stick design so hoping to transition into one sticking later into the season. Whatcha Got??

I’ll be shootin my Mathews HTR No cam with 590 grain Easton axis arrows. Tipped with Simmons land shark 160 grain heads stropped sharp and nockturnal lighted nocks.
Sitting in my treehopper recon saddle and climbing with a ridge runner platform and 3 step rope aider I made. I’m using 40’ of sterling 8mm with a figure 8 to rappel. I’ve got it backed up with a sterling hollow block. All together I’ve got about 15lbs of gear that fits in a backpack

Haven’t decided 100 percent on first saddle. Have an idea though. Also have an idea for sticks and such but am still verifying references so to speak. Pack is an elberstock tailhook pack. Will let you all know.

Thanks guys, I forgot about my pack. Depending on how minimal I want to go per hunt. I'll be switching between a fanny pack with my sticks and platform strapped to an Alice pack frame or an Allen backpack to carry extra crap I mean gear...

Opening weekend will probably be a bucket, and crossbow. Probably a hunt with one of my kids..
If I am by my self.
Transformer, UP one stick, Reign 6, 660 Gr apollos with 200gr Masassias. Small pack with a hydration bladder, and some sort of ropes. Playing with a few options. Dressed for the weather. Who knows what Michigan can hold opening weekend.

Picked up a new man bun visor to put the deer at ease if they happen to spot me in the tree. Game changer I hope.

This’ll be my first season saddle hunting. Running a tethrd phantom and predator platform. Single sticking with a 20” hawk helium and 3 step aider. shooting a Mathews switchback with iron will 125 grain broadheads.

Basically using what is in my signature block. I have a few other tools that I'm playing around with for maybe next year. But I'm dialed it for opening day. I'm always in a state of flux to try new things, but I'm trying really hard to use what I already have and know first before messing around.

First year in a saddle, cruzr saddle and seeker platform and novix double mini sticks. APA cobra bow and beman whiteout arrows with swhacker 100 great broadheads
