what kind of permethrin are you using?

From website: Now you can get your own favorite clothing treated. Just like other Insect Shield apparel, the repellency added to your clothes is invisible, odorless, EPA-registered and lasts through 70 washings. And… we’ve made it even easier for you...

Not permanent, depending on how often you wash them I guess,

Permanent enough.
Wash them 70 times and then send 'em back again...gotta be cheaper, more thorough, and more convenient than retreating your own every 6 weeks...which is what Sawyer label says.

Never heard of this - but I’ve used Sawyer’s Permethrin with phenomenal success in My home state of CT - where Lyme disease was discovered and is rampant to this day.

Looks like a great treatment service - thanks for posting!

you are right Tom, I have a big bottle of Martin's to get rid of but, turkey season is upon us

I use Happy Jack's kennel dip.
Happy Jack's

It's a 17% concentration and if you read the military specifications for personel treatment they call for a .5% concentration. 8oz mixed with two gallons of water comes out about .7%. When I treat my clothes I use gallon size zip lock baggies and roll up one pair of cargo pants or jeans or two shirts as tight as I can place them in the baggie and add one pint of the mixture seal it up and let the liquid saturate the garments for 24 hours, let them hang on the clothes line too dry completely. You should not handle the mixture with bare hands but once the clothes have dried it is totally safe so I always wear nitrile gloves when handling the liquid.

Happy Jack's has no petroleum distillates and does not have any smell once dry like the ones that do. I have used a petroleum based concentrate and could not stand the smell and it was strong.

I hope this helps and if you need more info just ask.
