what pack for saddle hunting?

I like the Super Day pack. Straps on the back and bottom so you can carry your bow and platform up the tree with you. Also has integrated 3L water pack.

I'm using a mystery ranch mule. But if you don't have any intentions of packing meat go get you a Badlands super day or Diablo

I use Alps Outdoorz Pathfinder with the front turkey packs. It’s too versatile and light and haven’t found anything better yet.

I have an alpz outdoorz hybrid x waiting for me when I finally get out of west texas tomorrow (cool place). I looked at Bandlands but I haul meat.

I have the diablo dos and I like it carries everything I need to the tree with me. The bow gets strapped to the back and my camo is rolled up on the bottom leaving the main compartment to hold my saddle steps and whatever else I want to bring in with plenty of space left. And the waist belt takes a lot of pressure off of my shoulders.

I use a 2-pocket Field & Stream in the early season when I need 3-5 liters of water in a bladder-pack. As the weather cools off, I do away with the heavier pack and sling a fanny that has a couple of water bottle pouches. Takes many pounds off my load, but in September I’m honestly losing weight while hunting no matter how much water I take or snacks I eat, so it’s a great feeling in late-October when I can just leave H2O in a cooler in my truck, and take two small bottles into the actual tree.

I have the superday. I like it and it has plenty of extra space. Honestly, it might even be a little too big. Once I'm up in the tree and situated it feels a little bulky when hanging there. I'm still going to use it though and it's a great option for late season. I'll most likely get the predator pouch and use that for early season. It makes sense to strap things to it and then once you are set up it acts as more of a dump pouch for smaller items...phone, calls, linemans belt...etc

I just received my Badlands Diablo Dos pack and I'm sad to say I think I'll be returning this pack. The quality is definitely top notch however I really don't like the frame system. The frame is intended to push the pack off your back so your back doesn't overheat. It works well for that and it's comfortable to wear but I find it actually pushes the back of the pack inward which really limits the amount of available space inside the main pocket. This pack has about 2200 CI of space but it's probably more like 1500 when you consider how much space you lose do to the frame.
