What's going on at AeroHunter?

I wanna see the first samples, you may have a customer for Kestrels. Especially if you can sew one up for a 7YO girl to use for a few years…
I would want to get the patterns to support and foster quality, safe, to spec, builds for the DIYers on this site to continue the awesome legacy of aerohunter. I know we already have many great DIY clone builds, but I still think it would be cool to have the certified patterns.

I would be up for a kestrel. See if it’s as good as I remember
I couldn't ever get comfortable in a kestrel. I had a lot of hip pinch. It wasn't until I went down to a size one many many saddles later with the flex and kite did I think that that might have contributed to the discomfort in the kestrel.

Oh man, that's all I use is a kestrel. I did a 14 hour sit dark to dark and several 5-6 hour sits this year and had no comfort issues. That's why I haven't gotten a newer saddle. My kestrel is comfortable and I know it was made by a company where safety was a top priority.

Yeah I have my kestrel dialed in perfectly. Use an old bow sling as a detachable back band and my Mission platform and I can lean for 5 hours pretty well.

Still rocking the og kestrel here too. Was thinking of getting something new next year, but may end up getting new/smaller bridge and lineman ropes instead.

The only issue is it getting saggy on the walk out, but if I simply took time to tighten the belt, likely wouldn't be an issue

I tried... :tearsofjoy:

Email:
"I heard you guys are shutting down and may be selling closeout items soon. Do you happen to have any Size 2 Kites laying around? If so, can I call dibs on it? Or can you make one last Size 2 Kite for old time's sake?"

Response:
Our closeout sale will be on our website next week. I know we don't have any Kites to sell, and the workshop is closed so we can't make more. I'm sorry to disappoint you!

LAME!

I noticed last week or the week before that Aerohunter was shut down. Was hoping it was temporary. Guess I shouldn’t have sold my Shrike! Still have my Kestrel Flex and still like it. Mine doesn’t have a rubber coating and I’ve had no problems with it. I have grown to appreciate the quality construction of my flex. Hate seeing a good company close their doors, but hey, if the guy wants to retire, I can’t hold that against him!
