Owl74 ......I'd like to see a couple close ups of your mods.

Hey emerald ghost, the only mod I've done is add a Kifaru Universal Gun Bearer. It's perfect for it. The top piece hooks onto the shoulder strap and the stock sling attaches with velcro to the very back of the hip belt.



I'm seriously contemplating using a H2 Triad bridge. I think I can get good tying it in the dark... maybe

It’s only 4” less tubing, so probably less than 2 ounces difference if I had to guess. But I can weigh when I get back home. Won’t be for a week or two

Any word on whether the skinny will become full production?

Ha I may have oversold them. I’ve seen more serious solutions somewhere online, but even this adjustable strap connected to the frame like I have here does take some weight off my shoulders and does tighten the pack to my back.

Do you climb the tree with the gun still in the bearer? Have you tried it with a bow?

The only time I've climbed with it in the gun bearer was when I forgot my hoist rope. I don't think the gun bearer would work with a bow - the boot portion is only big enough for a gun stock.

It was great. I usually just use my Doyle's. It permanently lives on the underside of the JX3 seat now.

For colder weather add a 1" piece of closed cell foam to the underside of the seat.
You will need to cut the foam to fit in the recess.
There are 2 straps that will hold the foam in place, helps alot to keep your butt warm.

Curious what shooting from this has been like for those who have used it this season.

I haven’t hunted out of mine but I have shot out of it… For me it’s going to take some getting used to. It’s not bad, but slightly different than my other saddle. I definitely need to tweak how I have it adjusted and just figure out how I like it set up. I have no doubt when I do it’ll be a great option for longer sits.
