Why Bridge Loop Stops? Not needed if...

The bigger the loop the more likely it will slip up and down was my experience.

Exactly what it should do. If your body is moving, then your saddle is moving so your connection to your bridge should be moving or you will feel pulling.
I just want my saddle to move with me not restrict me.

There are many different ways to distribute the weight, and that's the key. In a OSFA saddle designed for the masses, the patented comfort channels do seem like a good idea. I'm looking forward to trying them.

I would be interested to see at what different PSI create "pain threshold" in different people, what individuals' "pain thresholds" are.

I don’t think anyone has. Try it out and let us know how you like it.
I have used a runner similar to that with 2 carabiners many times.... it works fine but can limit how far you can slide. Also, I put socks over them so my ropeman didnt clank on it during a severe turn.

X2 on this.
I guess we are all a little different but this was a no-go for me. I tried everything that I could think of to improve comfort and prevent ride up of my saddle (including the double carabiner removable bridge that you describe) and one of the best things that I ever did was girth hitch my bridge to my bridge loops so I could put it and keep it where I needed it.
This allows me to set my tether height where I want it with the short bridge that I prefer and adjust the angle of the saddle with the bridge position on the loops if I need to. I tried both a mantis and a kestrel with similar results.

I think the cupping of the phantom will solve a lot of the riding up compared to the mantis. Of course having the bridge locked in a position on the bridge loop will also help keep the saddle cupped up better under you if you stay stationary. If you go from sitting to standing, the angles change and bridge needs to adjust on the bridge loops to free up the tension. If the tension is pulling up, it will want to ride the saddle up. Having a cupped saddle will help keep it cupped around your butt though. At least that’s how I’m envisioning it. I could be wrong.

Maybe. I can’t think of a situation I’d want to feel more pressure. Self adjusting pressure as needed on the move sounds better.

I like to shift pressure throughout my sit. Be it my feet, or my butt, a saddle, or a lazy boy... I have never found anything that applies equal enough pressure to be comfortable in the exact same configuration all day. Heck, laying down too long gives you bed sores.

I like increasing pressure on the top strap some, then 20-30 minutes later, I might adjust my tether length some to move that to about even, then more to the bottom. I also move the pressure on my feet from the balls, to the arches, then the heels. I find I can sit from an hour before first light until after dark this way so long as my bowels can hold that long.

If you stayed leaning with a short bridge, I can see how this will work for you. I never liked a short bridge and I mostly sit but lean to stretch my legs.

I think you’ll be surprised once you get some time in it. I think saddle geometry plays a bigger role than a free floating, sliding..whatever the crap y’all are rambling on about. I
Just gigging...nobody get upset. I’m actually enjoying reading everyone’s thoughts on this topic.

I have a sewn in adjustable webbing bridge (Kite). I guess the eyes are open enough that if I’m uncomfortable I can adjust them as needed in the bridge loops. But if enough pressure is applied they will slide to where they need to be. Kind of a best of both worlds. I’ve never used the micro adjusters either except as additional loops to attach things.

Lol. I agree. I like to change pressure points also. I’ll sit most of the time, stand/lean some, alternate pressure to each leg. But while doing all this moving it’s nice to have my bridge move with me in the bridge loops to accommodate the change in pressure positions I’m putting on my saddle.

Agree! I think the geometry of the phantom is a lot better than the mantis. I also like the linemans loops. I usually hook my linemans belt to my bridge loop because I like the full support of the saddle while leaning back.

Until I hear a Tethrd prostaff admit that the Mantis was a borderline torture device, I lend very little credibility to this gamechanger! Actually I was fine with the Mantis. Until I sat in a Flex. And still the fleece saddle standard probably has not been attained commercially.

I thought this was Game ender and not game changer? LOL.

They actually just called an audible. Technically every single minute event in the course of a game is a gamechanger. Throwing a pick 6 is a gamechanger. Scoring in your own goal is a gamechanger. Striking out with the bases loaded is a gamechanger.

typical evolution of post here by same players.... and folks think the field reps are the problem.

OP hope you got your answer, there is mixed reviews on loop stops. For me they work great for making minor adjustments between standing and leaning which most of us will do both during a hunt. I think I actually have some old runners I'll send you for free if you want to try them. just PM me

Kyhunter wanted to try the runners. I like my amsteel bridge.
Am I a problem Dave? I thought this was a good discussion. Everyone voiced their opinion and supported why they had that opinion. I’m sure our post made people think. I don’t expect everyone to agree. I enjoy others opinions. Learn something everyday.

If I can have almost no discomfort after 1,000-2,000 hours in a sit-drag with 2 subluxated disks and scoliosis.... anyone should be able to find comfort in ANY saddle on the market right now...
