Wood hunting saddles

Looking at the deluxe, your leg straps hook up up near the bridge /linesman loops? How's that compare to hooking them up towards the bottom? It looks my current saddle is closer to where your classic saddle leg straps hook up

Makes it stay put better while climbing, less intrusive while walking. We are beginning to make the originals with that same leg loop attachment soon as well. Adds an ounce of weight but makes a big difference while walking as well as keeping the saddle in place during lineman’s loop drops.

Well I got one for Christmas and got to spend a bit in a tree along the walking trail next to the house. Manuvered around on my platform and messed with positioning based on different bridge adjustments. Added a second bridge with some oplux and trc in the same blakes configuration because, well, everything needs to be modded at least a little. Another mod coming too(nothing to do with fit or function of the saddle). Back to tree time, well moved over to a different tree and climbed up far enough for it to hurt if I tied the second bridge wrong, apparently I didnt, tied a munter on the added bridge and broke the primary hitch. Didnt hit the ground and the rappel was smooth as a Marvin Gaye tune. Went back up and just hung and swung around a bit in the saddle, you know first time in a store bought saddle gotta play a bit. Side neighbor came out and was like hey umm whatcha doin, man dont fall out of the tree like I did. LOL. First impressions, fit and finish were spot on, comfortable to walk in, comfortable to climb in, comfortable to hang in, super comfortable to lean in. Only a couple of minor personal wants that I would like to add and nothing that I would change in the standard build. Super stoked to hunt it this coming weekend and tickled to be able to support one of our own. Thanks @Fl Canopy Stalker for a first class piece of kit!!

So I did about a 4 hour hang saturday evening and a 2-2.5 hour hang yesterday morning. This saddle is great to repel in, I didnt kill crap. Super comfortable and zero hip pressure after 4 hours. Once in the tree I made a couple of small bridge adjustments where it fit on the bridge loops and in bridge length based on how it felt once setup and didnt touch anything else the rest of the hang.

I keep mine in the folded position until I start feeling some pressures which is usually 2-3 hours then open it up. Changes the way it carries ur weight and good for another 2-3 then switch back again if needed.

So can I assume you're in Indy pimping your products @Fl Canopy Stalker ?? You've been pretty quiet today :tearsofjoy:

How are they reacting to the two panel? Show discounts? I could be in Indy Friday evening...

Yea best in class product for a product that ain’t released (2 years in a row)
Na man I ain’t at ATA. I’m a working man so I am working. I’m saving all my new surprises for our saddle hunter meet up and the Fl Outdoor Expo. I’m not cool enough to be an ATA guy

I don't blame you, I was just giving you some crap
I figured it was a joke. I could see me now, walking in after pi$$ing off a couple of saddle titans! Lol I’d be the outcast.
Not to mention I don’t hype market well. I keep practicing in the mirror…. It’s game changing, the best thing since sliced bread bla bla bla.
Then I get to an event and I’m like check this out. Someone asks questions and I’m like you could buy all that or you could just tie a loop in some paracord and do the same thing for .50 cent but it won’t looks as cool
It’s time like these that helped me realize why I wasn’t a lawyer or car salesman

The other benifit of the show is you get to let your competitors see your new stuff.

I ought to get my rear in gear and ask you about a saddle before I forget what I want @Fl Canopy Stalker lol.

@always89y you gotta sell your stuff more man! You've got very appealing stuff too! Love my aider FWIW, and I'll probably be buying another of those... or 3

Ha! Thanks brother! We do most of our sales and promoting on Facebook and the insta. This platform is home and we like to take the sales shoes off at the door here.

It’s us that should be thanking y’all.
I think with Jerry and myself, we love the sport and seek its growth a little more than we chase the almighty dollar (weird how having a normal day job allows that sort of freedom). I put my passion for the sport ahead of my love for money (and yes my wife hates it because she has actual business savvy ).

My gramps was always a honest days work for an honest days wage kind of guy. He was my hero and I try daily to become half the man he was. That straight to the point, no nonsense approach doesn’t usually win popularity contests. So I mean it when I say I am humbled and truly appreciate the guys on here that support what guys like Jerry, Jamie Klein and myself are doing. There are a few titans in the saddle industry and it’s not easy to succeed once you’ve hit their radar.
