Zeal Team 1 team room

Not empty handed. Sounds like you enjoyed fellowship and had done great experiences. I often loose touch with what this is really about. "Hunting" let's get it back and enjoy every aspect!!!

Hey, that is 100% true. I had a great time with my crew in the Canadian North. There wouldn't be much I would trade that for...

So I set out tonight thinking it’s going to be a great sit. It was great I saw deer but nothing to shoot. General rifle started today so I banking on deer being pushed.

I ran all day sits last Sat, Wed, and yesterday. Saw some deer, blew the one and only chance I had in those sits (which I am not going to dwell on at the moment). Through all those, and a good part of the pre-rut I have been contesting with unideal winds. Tonight I sit here, knowing that I need to actually go to work this week, and I am seeing perfect lower temps, no heavy rain, and a great wind forecast for the whole week! Hunting!!

Shotgun season opens Nov 29....

We went back out for the evening sit, we saw a bunch of deer I even had 2 fawns come close and I swear they still had some spots. But probably the biggest thing is my Son in law is now going to learn how to repel and the importance of having a back up get out of the tree plan.

What happened, did he get stuck up there?

I wouldn’t say stuck but he had his WE step uncam itself at about 20’ and he played heck trying to re set it so he could get down. When I asked him where is back up was well you can guess his answer “ I never thought about it “. So I now have given him one of my atc and we will be learning how to self rescue this week and repel when finished.

Fair enough. I never had a WE uncam, but I did have some get loose and weird. I did once when I was running a climber almost lose the bottom (I didn't have them tied together) - that would have made for a bit of head scratching...
