That looks like an awesome pack but almost 7lbs!!!
I'll tell you though, for under $100 on Amazon that is an incredible deal even at that weight.
Dave have you used that? Looks really good. I know you have your fleece pack so wasn’t sure if you used this one

No I am looking into it since I bought all this filming gear… I have used a pursuit pack in the past and liked it

I have a bunch of alps camping gear and handled some of their packs at Jays, too. My camping gear gets light use, which is perfect for what I was looking to spend since I might spend 2-3 weeekends in a tent throughout the year, but It’s all very well made for the money. Maybe even better than you’d expect. But it’s not going to last anyone a lifetime that’s for sure.

Nice. I am not tied to brands and would love a cheaper alternative if the hypotheticals are worked out.
For $96 I pulled the trigger on the Alps. Hard to lose on that plus I will put the extra 200 saved toward Kiwis

same here.... This will be my pack when I take my camera gear and the heavier compounds both of which I can strap or affix to the pack along with my sticks. With this pack I won't have anything in my hands which i like as several of my stands I have to walk waist deep in a Creek and hold my pack over my head.
Looks like a great pack for the price. I wouldn't get to hung up on pack weights. A heavier pack that carries well feels lighter than a lighter pack that carries like garbage.

Yeah I love that idea too - I access via creeks in my lease and have to hop logs. This will be nice. Love the gun / bow holder feature - will give me peace of mind it’s actually secure

Back to the OP, one accessory that is handy with the popup 28 (or the 18) is a mini net from tribe one or even two of them.
This is especially handy for extra clothing. Military packing rules still apply. Keep the highest density loads closest to the spine and radiate outwards.

Seems like this site has that effect on products. Best thing that can happen to an outdoor product is to get some positive exposure here.
Just got my pop up 28 this weekend and loaded it with cam bear boxes and 100 oz water bladder. Figure it was about 25 lbs. carried for 2.5 hours Saturday and 2 hours Sunday scouting. Best carrying pack I've ever owned. The frame is money and carries like a dream. Can't wait to take it on hunts.
