Getting scent out of your saddle

I was just wondering if anybody washes or does anything special to take out the scent in their saddle? I have a kestrel flex and that thing reeks of a strong fabric smell.

I lightly ozone mine overnight in an airtight tote.

Be careful, though, ozone is known to damage fabrics in high concentrations and over extended exposures.

I can't find any specs on the Scent Slammer output per hour. It mentions sq.ft that it can treat, but I would rather see the O3 units per hour. SQ ft coverage is subjective.

I like this one. It has a hose discharge so it can be fed into tubs, bags, boots, etc.
I like using garbage bags for treatment containment. I then rotate those bags for seat covers for my truck for driving to the hunt. Vehicle seats are loaded with odors. I hate sitting on a seat after I've showered and have a base layer on.

Cover scents do not reduce human odor. Cover scents just add one more odor to the mix and deer sort thru thousands of odors simultaneously.
Cover scent are a fallacy.

I agree stopped using them years ago. What if we could transform human odor into deer odor tho...

What I also like about this unit is its ability to be mobile when you need to throw it in your backpack because you got sweated up on a long hike in...turn it on for 5 or 10 minutes and your odor is eliminated...I've tested a dogs blanket, soccer shoes, and cat litter and they all were neutralized by ozone...anyway lets enjoy sharing...this is the first thing they teach in kindergarten - it's so you can get along in life with all types of personalities....

PS...it also can charge your phone

Do you guys ozone your ropes too (tether and lineman)? Or could that damage the material? I know in a previous thread on this subject @BassBoysLLP said that ozone did nothing to the Mantis material in testing.
