Just a quick FYI for the JX-3 crowd....
I'm always fiddling with my set up. Here is a JX-3 side pouch/pack I found on Amazon and has been working well. I was previously using 2 Dan O pouches (saddlecloth I think) on each side. You can actually cram a little bit more crap into the Dan O pouches than this thing but I found I was always digging for crap and making noise. So, I now run with this pouch on one side and a Dan O on the other. The Dan O pouch holds my ropes and a water flask so by the time I get up it's mostly empty so I kind of use it as a an extra place to put stuff if I'm going through this pack.
Between these two things and the cavity on the back of the JX-3 (which I use for things that I don't need access to in the tree but I want with me...aka wipes / license / tracking light), I can fit all my gear and still have some room.
This pouch/pack and the Dan O pouch can just be folded up back into the JX-3 when you're walking in and out. You can access it when hunting and during the climb if you leave you seat down during the climb. No need to hook or unhook this stuff.
Here is the link and some pics below: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B77SNQQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Note: I added the little molle connector band to hold the grunt tube on the outside.
