What about a DIY triad? Just watched the video. Is it really just 2 continuous loops and a length of amsteel?

Update. I’m not crazy or Internet challenged.

Turns out the guy got a legal letter from Tethrd about the pending patent. I guess selling the materials for the finished product is not allowed.

I figured something like that happened. You can still order the ropes from doublesteps.com and do it yourself. The fids can be made the video tells you everything you need. He was using 1/8" for the continuous loop, but the Tethrd version is 3/16" Amsteel. Good luck it's a nice upgrade to whatever you are currently using.

I wonder how you can patent a rope bury and prussic? We will see if it ends up being patented. I guess that is why the triad is a very different setup. Less buried rope and different knots.
Legally we can make whatever we want.

Download the u tube video in case it is removed.

At one point I thought tethrd said they were going to do a DIY on how to make the new bridge.

Not sure why they would go after someone just selling a kit that wasn’t even using the same rope. Not sure where the line is drawn.

I think the big hang up is in the name “Utilibridge”. Just IMHOP.

Seems like Bobby Boswell’s complaints and accusations about copying aero hunter ideas are not okay if you copy Tethrd ideas. To me it’s seems like a heavy handed and hypocritical approach when we can buy amsteel anywhere and make our own ultribridge

not a lawyer but i've heard you have to do this kind of thing to "protect" your patent. if you don't then you can lose it. i guess its a matter of how much you want it. personally i don't understand it. seems like a waste of resources.

with that being said, is the 3/16" continuous loop or the 1/8" preferred?

I have the 1/8" on my mantis and the Phantom came with the 3/16". I think the larger 3/16" is alot nicer.

I used a 3/16 loop on the one I made . I don’t have my phantom yet but I am sure that is what they used. I like the 3/16 Amsteel.
Here is a picture of an ultribridge on a recon beside a triad on an H2.
